I knew Carrie would say yes to Elliot's proposal. She desperately loved Elliot. She'd do anything to get him.
Carrie gaps and hugs Elliot.
"Of course."They both hug and everyone cheers and smiles except me. Madison knew I was upset she rubs my back and whispers in my ear.
"Hey.. let's go to class." Madison whispers holding on to my shoulder.
"No it's okay." I say sternly.
I push through the crowd and walk in the middle of their proposal. I was wearing a bracelet Elliot gave me and I swiftly took it off saying 'give this to your wife.' From that point on I wanted to say Elliot meant nothing to me.
----------
I was in my room daydreaming for the past hour thinking about Elliot and Carrie but then I get a sudden notification from my phone.James: Hey Wendy do you think we could meet at Yogurt Mountain?
Wendy: Sure what time?
James: Is now okay?
Wendy: Yeah! I'll meet you there.
James: Ok
------------
I sprint to my clothes and change into some more casual cute clothes. As I head out the door I grab my purse from the counter and head out. I open the car door and head in looking at my self through the rear view mirror. As I vented the car up I ask Siri for the directions to Yogurt Mountain. As I parked in the parking lot I saw James car. I opened the door looking for James."Wendy!" James shouts out to me.
"Oh hey!" I say giving him a welcome hug.
James grabs us a container to pick out our flavors. The first flavor I was attracted to was cookies and cream and birthday cake batter. I swirled the two flavors together in my cup and added toppings. I waited for James so we can both weigh our yogurt on the scale and pay. We found a seat away from the sunlight and sat down on the cushions.
"So are you going to prom?" James ask me.
"Yeah I suppose I'm going." I say turning my head.
An employee walks up to us and gives me a coupon and to redeem it I have to figure out the rest of the letters. The whole time I tried to figure it out James was staring at me. When I finally found out the code I went to the cashier and gave them the ticket. Soon, people came out and held up signs saying 'Will you go to prom with me?' I look back and ran to James.
"I will go to prom with you." I say smiling.
