The next day at school I wasn't that nervous anymore. I came to school with confidence cause I knew that day when we looked at each other my feelings were strong.
I told Madison how I felt about Elliot and she squealed in excitement.
"You should totally ask him out!" She said excitedly.
"But what if he says no?" I asked.
"What if he says yes?" Madison contested and I decided that she was right.
It was time for me to step up. In class I told Mrs. Long that I had feelings for Elliot and I wanted to date him.
"That's great, Wendy! I think I have a plan to help you..." Mrs. Long said with a mischievous smirk.

Mrs. Long devised a plan and then told me about it. She was going to leave Elliot and me alone in class and that's when I would ask him.At 2:45, Mrs. Long and I would put the plan into action. The clock ticked by and finally the bell rung to say that school was over.
We were both in the class and that's when I asked, "Will you be my boyfriend, Elliot?"
"Sure." Elliot replied and I suddenly felt so happy.
It was the first time that I had felt that happy in years!
But I still wondered how I was going to tell Elliot that I have Cancer and only a short time to live.
Elliot and I walked out of the classroom together and looked behind me to see Mrs. Long smiling at us.
I smiled back and then walked with Elliot to the front door of the school, all of the doubt and worry in my head falling away.
