Broken

I back away from them both, hoping to get away silently but then I trip on a pile of clothes on the floor.

I yelp and Elliot lifts his head. Seeing me he gasps and then looks over at Carrie.

"Wait, Wendy, I can explain!" He tries to stop me from leaving.

"Elliot why would you do this to me!" I say feeling startled and shocked.

"Wendy... this was a mistake. I apologize!" Elliot shouts as I walk away

I called Madison to pick me up. I was upset with Elliot. I actually wanted to have a future with him.

"What's wrong?" Madison asks me as I enter her car in tears.

"Madison, I... I was so stupid!" I cry and she stares at we with worry in her eyes.

"What did he do?" She asks me and I tell her.

"Elliot was... Sleeping with Carrie!" I sob.

Madison quickly jumps out her seat and with haste slams her door and is heading inside Elliot's house. I knew she was furious and she was going to do something chaotic.

"Hello." Elliot's mom says right once Madison approaches her

"Hi, I'm a friend of Elliot's girlfriend Wendy."

"Oh you can come in." Elliot's mom says with fear

Madison walks towards Elliot's room and opens the door. I follow her.

Elliot was sitting up in his bed. Carrie was gone.

"Wendy, wait outside." Madison told me and I glanced back at Elliot once before closing the door behind me.

"Elliot, why did you cheat on Wendy she had deep feelings for you and you broke her heart." I say, a tear slipping out of my eye.

"Madison, this wasn't supposed to happen. Carrie came to my house and started kissing me cause she knew Wendy was coming over and she tried to make her jealous! Please, I love Wendy." Elliot explains.

"Wendy has 5 months to live! If you want to make her happy you better make sure she has the best 5 months of her life and if she dies saying she's not happy it's on you."

"Okay, just please get Wendy back for me."

"I'll try my best." I say bitterly.

I get back in the car with Wendy and I tell her everything that Elliot said. I can tell Wendy is questioning herself about everything Elliot has said or done to her. I don't say anything about that.

We drove to my house and Wendy slept over. Wendy's phone starting ringing and it was Elliot.

She picked up the phone and all I heard were apologies. I knew Wendy had strong feelings for Elliot. And I honestly didn't want her to leave him and see him with Carrie having a better time then he did with her.

When Wendy got finished talking, she told me that Elliot had asked her out so they could talk about everything that happened and she had said yes.

Wendy said that she felt that it was important that they talked about their issues.

Madison drove me to the date. It was at the park again. I saw Elliot standing on top of a hill overlooking the sunset.

I stepped out of the car.

Despite everything that had happened, I was happy to see him. I hope that we can fix our issues and get together again.

But as I was walking towards Elliot, I saw another girl come up to him.

It was Carrie.
