The headache within Lucien's head didn't die even as he abruptly exited out of the castle and stepped back into the harsh sunlight of the desert. The sunlight was harsh today, burning his pale skin as he made his way across the tribal grounds.

The anger burning within him could have awakened a thousand demons inside of him that were just dying to break free from the restrictive walls Lucien had built up a long time ago.

It was a type of anger he had never experience before, true and burning deep within his bones and crushing underneath his heart until every single inch of his body felt as if it was ready to catch on fire.

The words Rheynoak had said about Venix had pushed him to a dangerously close edge he didn't want to jump off of. Even her name slipping out of his lips was enough for his whole entire body to be alert.

Usually, the tribe leader's sly comments never bothered him as he chose to ignore it and move on. Rheynoak fed off his reactions, using them to feed his ego and honestly, the Hell Siphon himself didn't want to deal with that type of nonsense.

He was usually quiet, dormant and alert.

But not when it came to Venix. Not when it ever came to that devilish violet-eyed beast that seemed to quicken his heartbeat every time their eyes met.

Shaking his head, Lucien buried his fingers in his hair, pushing back locks of bone-white hair that blocked his vision. Several members of the tribe brushed past him, sending him smiles when their eyes met his. He mustered up the gut to return back the smiles even though in his soul, he was as dead as he could be.

He's known her ever since she came to the campgrounds when she was around ten years old. He still remembered, the girl with white hair and sparkling violet eyes that everyone seemed to be afraid of.

He wasn't really around during that time as he was too busy completing the back-breaking missions Rheynoak would send him on. The only time he would really converse with her back then was in the dining hall and during training sessions and even then, their conversations consisted of three to five words.

He knew she didn't spend much of her time at the camp either since she was sent off to fight in a war when she was thirteen. She was gone for two years, the tribe leader occasionally receiving letters from her that restored the fact that was actually alive in Lucien's head.

Two years, she was gone. Two years and the Hell Siphon never once thought about the violet-eyed BloodBone Witch. In the two years she was gone, he never once sat down and fully thought about Venix Draywin.

Yet when she returned back from the war, seemingly alive and not that scarred, his eyes never strayed from her since the first moment he laid eyes on her. Somehow within the two years, she was gone, she had changed into someone whose magnetic aura pulled him in

He himself knew it wasn't right to crush so hard on just one girl. He could have diverted his attention, his affection for someone else that he actually had a chance with. But the years grew and so did his infatuation, creating something he couldn't get rid of.
