The afternoon sun was already beginning its way to sinking behind the horizon. The rays of the sun still shined brightly, turning the red streets of the village into a dusty brown and tanning the skin complexion of children.

Women and men approached others who were strolling through the town square, offering them delicacies and protection against the dangerous immortals that roamed Asxairo. There were a few fortune tellers that approached the midnight haired woman strolling down the streets, smiling as they saw her.

But one look at her indigo eyes flecked with silver diamonds in her eyes and they knew she was different. They nodded their head, making way for her and scurrying over to the next poor merchant to cover more gossip.

"Those idiots owe me big time" Yongui Mesacrai muttered underneath her breath as she strolled her way through the town square, blending in as best as she could. With her dark hair that tumbled over her pale complexion and her sweet voice, from afar she knew she looked like any other village girl passing by.

The silver dress she wore, torn at the knees, and slightly shredded at the sleeves, almost passed her as a village girl. Yet when otherS got a glimpse of her indigo eyes, they all shuddered and fled in fear, fearing for what she truly was.

Frowning and crossing her arms over her chest, she marched her way across the town square, grateful for the fresh air that brushed past her face. From a distance, she could hear the ocean roar, loud and clear.

Pretending to be Draco's servant had its benefits and downfalls but pretending to be his servant to get past the utterly spoiled and rich people that lived close to the estate was anything but pleasant.

Sure, he was a great master and his face was utterly gorgeous to look at, but the thought of someone having power over her, dragging her around to do little things dug into her skin and irritated her to the point where she became enraged.

Getting out of that stuffy estate was the best decision he has made in the year they have been staying at Serius. Her eyebrows furrowed for a minute, wondering what her home in the Night Dweller's realm looked like now without their emperor.

Hopefully, the stars were still in the sky.

Pushing her way through the crowd, her eyes were kept low onto the ground, concentrated on getting to a quiet alley. All around her noise, the quiet rhythm of music and chatter whispered in her ear, surrounding her like a wisp of wind as she maneuvered her way through.

Flashes of color, the smell of food, and the chatter of Sacri was all around her and followed her through even as she distanced herself from the overcrowded town square and walked down a long, dark narrow path that led into a dark alley.

Water dripped from the crooked ceilings and food was rotting on the floor. Above, the clouds were murky and dark, contrasting against the royal blue hues of the late afternoon sun. Yongui hugged the dress closer to her, her intriguing eyes looking out for anyone as she surveyed the alley.
