I would like to change the writing style, at least for a bit. Since I was not present in these stories, I will just narrate it as it was on the books.

Before anything else, before the earth was formed, there were dragons. These dragons had each an aspect that they excelled at, but among the groups of the dragons, there were to leaders: Noctem and Lychnis. These leaders had never seen each other. For when Lychnis was with a group of dragons, Noctem would be with another. Noctem was kind and always looking to make something better for anyone. Lychnis was different. If Noctem was completely nice, Lychnis was a complete scumbag. He was smart, cared for only himself, but had a good understanding of everything.

Noctem had four wings, walked with a stunning pose, head high, wings almost coiled back completely, chest out, and a gaze that would freeze anyone in their tracks. He was black, completely black; the only glimpses of colour you could see were on his wings, a dark purple followed the bone structure of the wing. The wings had a bird-like pattern on the wings making the purple a little hard to miss. The other glimpse of colour was his eyes; his eyes were so red that almost were glowing. He had four legs, with claws the same colour of the wings. The tail that he had spikes growing in four directions, and had a length of half of his body.

Lychnis was as tall as Noctem, but how the tail, claws, and colour were opposite from each other. Lychnis way of walking was similar of Noctem's, although having a completely cold gaze of anything as if he didn't care at all what he was seeing. He was white, almost blindingly white; the other colour was red which was on random parts of his body. Since Lychnis was known as an asshole, everybody doubted that was the original colour. The eyes were as cold as ice, and the colour didn't help. The blue eyes made him look even more of a cold bastard.

The groups: each one with a little bit of outstanding. Each one representing an element, or how they called it: Soshi. No group had an alliance. They were at constant war. The leaders apart from Lychnis and Noctem had a title Flamma, Adementum, Adaquo, Solum, Gelindis, Zephyrus, and Fulmen. The titles having a meaning Flamma for fire, Adamentum for metal, Adaquo for water, Gelindis for frost, Zephyrus for wind, and Fulmen for electricity.

The leaders had a hereditary trait. Each one had a monarchy, only stopped or monitored by Lychnis and Noctem. The dragons had no structure other than Lychnis Noctem at the top followed by the leaders, followed by the total mayhem of the dragons below.

No matter what happened Lychnis was always looked as a troublemaker, or just simply not liked. On the other hand, Noctem was loved for not being horrible to everybody surrounding him. Noctem and Lychnis if they fought they would be on equals terms. Each one of them was so strong that earned the title: Immortal Being. This title was so important that they were compared to gods even among the strongest leaders.

Noctem as the centuries passed he became even kinder and friendlier with his kind. But also, Lychnis became even more of a bastard, at times almost acting like a psychopath.

After so many centuries with everything happening usual. A meteorite destroyed a small town. Lychnis and Noctem went to see what happened. For the first time, Lychnis and Noctem saw each other. The expression of disgust of Lychnis was so clear that Noctem tried to leave. As a response, Lychnis tried to battle him out of spite. Noctem again tried to go away, but Lychnis stopped him again. Noctem was angry. Noctem was so scary that even when he was calm he would scare kids, but angered would make another story completely.

Lychnis and Noctem were even equal in brute force, but Noctem had better reflexes, making him harder to hit. The battle wasn't nice. The strongest beings of the land fighting it out. Neither Noctem nor Lychnis would give up. After at least 100 days of continuous fighting, the match was a tie. At this point, Noctem lost part of his tail, and Lychnis a part of his wing.

Lychnis's and Noctem's body were completely filled with scars, which only made them look even more fierce some. The rumours of Noctem and Lychnis's fight spread like wildfire. In less than the fight ended the whole race of dragons already knew about the fight. Some of them even made bets. The relationship between Noctem and Lychnis was bad, from that point on.

Noctem, as a hobby, tried to improve himself, while Lychnis was resentful of the fight. Lychnis wanted to kill Noctem for the humiliation he received. After a while, Noctem was loved, and Lychnis was quite loathed, by his fellow dragons.

Lychnis had enough, and challenged Noctem to a fight, with the plans of killing him. Little did he know that Noctem became stronger. Now instead of the fight lasting 100 days, the fight lasted a little over a day. Noctem was victorious. Lychnis was humiliated even further. His great ego was not injured. It was pounded into the ground. Noctem, as a result, was loved and considered to be the real leader of the dragons, despite his appearance.

Lychnis tried to convince the other dragons to follow him, but he lacked in strength and in love from his fellow dragons. Nobody followed him. As the time progressed, the leaders, such as Flamma, began to be more cooperative, between the other leaders and their respective group. The once chaotic land was taking the form of a kingdom.

Everything was nice and dandy. Until Lychnis began making a deal with another species. This species is pretty uncommon, the human. In other words, Lychnis allied himself with the humans to hunt the other dragons.

Lychnis, indirectly or directly, killed every single of his own kind. Noctem protected the descendants of each leader, saving the next: Flamma, Adementum, Adaquo, Solum, Gelindis, Zephyrus, and Fulmen. Lychnis had another duel with Noctem.

Would you be able to predict it?

Noctem won. Then, Lychnis cheated and got Noctem was killed by the humans. Lychnis was pretty weakened, and the human leader, Lady Rose from Stonegate, killed Lychnis without batting an eye.

As the last dragons expired his last breath. The humans, more specifically Lady Rose from Stonegate said:

"As the last of these vile creatures dies, we will surpass them. We will clear these lands and make them safer not only for our children but for our species."

This ends the end of the story.

−What a "meh" ending. – I said without thinking.

−What do you mean? – She asked me.

−Do you think that we, the humans, can defeat one dragon, let alone a whole species of them? – I asked sarcastically.

−No, but it makes it interesting. – She added.

−I just have one question. – I said. −What kind of the story of creation was that? Everything was already done from the start. –

−Allow to answer you, Kare. – The old man said calmly. – It was the story of how we came to be the dominant species on this wonderful world. It wasn't about creating the world. It was about how everything was before and at the climax, how it changed from mighty dragons to small people. – The old man seemed awfully calm.

−So the story about the 3 goddesses have to tell me something about this world, right? – I asked him.

−Yes, Kare. You seem to pick it up quite fast. – He said before looking for another chapter in the huge book.

−Wait. Before we go to the 3 goddesses story, I would like to know more about from Lady Rose from Stonegate. – I said.

−Really? Her story is quite interesting, as you wish. – The old man said as if nothing happened. He opened the book in another part of it.
