"I really do have to go" Alexa giggled for the third time, pulling herself away from Carson, who was lying on his bed.

"Just one more minute baby" he pleaded his voice husky, as he pulled her back down on top of him.

She kissed his lips softly but when he pressed his tongue her lips, requesting entry, she kept them firmly together. He let out a frustrated moan and muttered a frustrated "tease". Alexa laughed at this and stood up, straightening her tank top and running her hand through her disheveled hair. She blew him a cheeky kiss knowing it would drive him crazy before leaving his room. She quickly made her way down his stairs and darted out of the front door.

She sighed in relief as she stepped into the cool air, thankful that she hadn't bumped into Carson's parents. After his limited explanation the day before she'd been nervous about coming across them but luckily they had appeared to be out when they'd reached the house and they hadn't heard them return to the house. Even so she'd practically ran down the staircase just in case they'd arrived home during the night while she and Carson had been 'busy' upstairs.

After an excruciatingly cold walk home Alexa finally made her way upstairs and collapsed onto her neatly made bed with exhaustion. She closed her eyes, hoping to have a quick sleep before her parents woke up. She'd text them the previous night telling them she was staying with a friend although she was sure not to tell them it was actually a 'friend with benefits' otherwise the 'Have a lovely night" text she received back might have been a lot different.

She hadn't closed her eyes two seconds when she felt a surge of sickness pass over her. Jumping out of bed quickly, she dashed to the bathroom. Leaning over the toilet, she emptied her stomach. She laid her head against the wall, sweat running down her  face as he stomach churned. She must have got food poisoning from the takeaway Carson had ordered the previous night or something because she'd only had the flu a couple of weeks back.

Her whole body was aching as she literally crawled back to bed, her legs were so weak she was unable to walk. She eventually snuggled under the duvet, drifting off to sleep hoping that she'd feel better when she woke up.

But she didn't. She was sick again the next morning. and the morning after that. Even saying this, her appetite had increased which was strange because when she was sick normally, she barely ate a thing. Something wasn't definitely not right, she didn't feel like herself. It was hard to explain.

Alexa's best friend Taylor, arrived at her house on the third day of her mystery sickness. They were lying on the sofa together watching John Tucker Must Die for what must have been the hundredth time this month. Taylor was obsessed with Jesse Metcalfe – a mere six on Alexa's hotness scale - at this moment in time so the film suited her down to the ground. Alexa on the hand wasn't so bothered but what Taylor wanted, Taylor got. That was something Alexa had learnt early on in their friendship.

"So how are you and Carson getting on then?" Taylor asked, a concerned look on her face.

When Alexa had told Taylor about their arrangement, she wasn't happy at all – jealous even - but she'd eventually persuaded her she was a big girl and knew exactly what she was doing. After all, Taylor had had her share of bad hookups and Alexa had never said anything to her.

"Good" she blushed, pushing her hair out of her face and tying it back with the hair bobble that had been previously wrapped around her slender wrist, "the chemistry between us is electrifying. He's nothing like I first thought, we're actually getting pretty close. In all honesty I've missed hanging out with him and being physical, this week. I hate being sick"

She studied Taylor's face for disapproval but she didn't find it, instead she saw a look of shock then concern pass over her face. Alexa swore she saw a flash of jealousy in Taylor's expression but what would her best friend be jealous of?
