"Where are you taking me, Rocco?" I asked as he drove through the woods on some trail. "Are you planning on killing me or something?" A deep laughing verberated from Rocco's chest.

"You'd know if I wanted to kill you. And if you must know, we're going on a hike." I nodded not minding a hike. I find them calming.

When we stopped we were in the middle of the woods by a waterfall. We got out and stood by the car for a minute. I looked around and there was no one around. It was quiet and peaceful of some sorts.

Rocco began to walk away from the car but I stayed being cautious because I never really go on hikes.

"Aren't you coming?" Rocco asked turning around to look at me. I nodded and caught up to where he was. We walked a little farther into the woods until we came to a beautiful waterfall. That was notably high up.

We climbed up the side until we reached the top.

"Do you know where we are?" I thought for a second before shaking my head not being able to place any memories to this place. "Our parents would take us here when they thought we were being too much like homebodies. We would jump off and swim till our legs cramped." I smiled a little bit before taking my shirt off leaving me in my sports bra.

I gave Rocco a mischievous look then I jumped off and into the water. Just as I came up I heard a loud splash next to me indicating that Rocco had jumped in after me. When he came up I laughed then splashed him.

We splashed each other back and forth for a couple of minutes until Rocco swam to me and picked me up out of the water. I screeched knowing he was going to throw me. Instead, he quickly pulled me down to him and kissed me.

I stood in Rocco's arms shocked for a second but ultimately melted into the kiss. After a few seconds, I pushed Rocco's chest and turned my head away. Clearing my throat, I removed myself from his arms and began swimming out of the water.

The car ride home was silent and the only sound was the radio. As soon as we pulled up to my house I got out and so did Rocco.

"You know I'm not going to apologize for kissing you if that's what you expected me to do." I didn't stop walking towards my door when I responded.

"I never expected much of you anyway." I could hear heavy footsteps behind me, as I was opening my front door, Rocco slammed it shut.

"What's that supposed to mean that you never expected much?" I sighed and looked at the door not turning around to look at Rocco.

"It means I know who you are and how you treat girls. So not expecting much is smart because I don't get attached and then hurt." I didn't even have to look at Rocco t know that I hurt him.

He didn't say anything instead he walked back to his car and angrily pulled out of my driveway. When I walked into my house I was greeted by my mother who informed me that we had a party to attend later that day and I should figure out what I want to wear.

I nodded not wanting to talk to my mom at the moment and headed upstairs. I knew I had hurt Rocco really bad by saying what I said but he needed to be told the truth.

Having low expectations for people ensures that no one gets hurt. It's just the hard truth and some can only handle it. But I'm sure Rocco will get over it.

I filed through my closet trying to find a dress for tonight and after a good half hour, I had found the perfect dress. It was a long black dress with an elegant slit up the leg and dip in the neckline. I called my close friend and makeup and hair artist, Mozinino to come and help me get ready.

A short 15 minutes went by before there was a ring at my front door and Mozzie came in. I rushed into Mozzie's arms and hugged him with a viper grip.

"I've missed you too baby." Mozzie and I have known each other since we were 5 and he called me beautiful on the playground and have been best friends ever since. "Now I've heard something and- what a fucking rock!" Mozzie picked up my left hand and examined my engagement ring.

"I have so much to tell you Moz." His eyes began to get wide and he nodded rapidly.

"Yes, you do missy." Mozzie followed me up to my room and I sat down in my makeup chair. I told him everything from when I went to school to Rocco and I having the heart to heart to what happened an hour before he got here.

"I've only been gone for a couple of months Ales. Jesus Christ, I'm sorry I wasn't here for you baby. But I'm here now and I'll take care of you." I smiled and Mozzie hugged me.

"Come to the party with me tonight. I'm probably not going to know anyone and Rocco and I aren't exactly on the greatest terms right now." After a few minutes of going back and forth, Mozzie agreed to come to the party with me.

"Wow, I really did a good job huh?" Mozzie said looking at me and fluffing my hair a little. I chuckled and grabbed my car keys. "Oh yay you're driving, I might need a throw-up bag. Because anytime you drive it's like a freaking rollercoaster." I sighed heavily and threw the keys to Mozzie so he could drive.

We got in the car and began driving towards the gate.

"What happened to the gate here." I looked down and away from Mozzie.

"That's a story for another day."
