Kiara's pov

After those words left my mouth, each one of them looked at me with shock and disbelief.

"Wait what!?" Hoseok exclaimed, his eyes widening

"Lower your voice, Hoseok. Nearby zombies might hear you and attack" I warned

He immediately covered his mouth

"I can't quite understand what you just said, Kiara" Namjoon admitted

"Is that even possible?" Yoongi asked

"I'll explain further when were back in your hide out" I said and continued to walk with the quiet Kim Taehyung

We walked for a few more minutes before we stopped in front of a metal door of a restaurant. I let out a low whistle, "Nice place"

Namjoon smiled and knocked three times, "It's us"

There was a slight ruffle behind the door and what seems like metals or furniture's being removed.

After a few shuffling, the door finally opened, revealing the restaurant on the inside. My mouth slightly went agape

"I know right?" The man beside me commented before leading me inside

The people who opened the door, widened their eyes as they saw me

When I looked back at them, they all ducked their heads and closed the door, putting back the furniture's that they had removed

But little did they know that I saw the glimpse of shame and regret before they all ducked their heads.

Its good to know that they still have gratitude

I trailed behind Namjoon and the others with Taehyung on my side to the second floor.

Yes. The second floor.

They really hit the jackpot here

Once we reached the floor, everyone who was scattered there stared at the new comers.

Shock,disbelief, shame and..anger?

"Why is she here?" Asked the woman who I chocked just a few hours ago

"Glad to see you too" I smirked

Her jaw clenched, "Weren't you all assigned to bring back medicines? Why did you bring back a rat too?"

"Are you referring to yourself?" I asked, pretending to be confused

Yoongi on my left snickered,

"She found us while walking back here. She saved our lives in case all of you forgot" Namjoon said,

The heads who was looking at me with dismay and anger lowered their heads in shame.

Yes. Lower your heads you ungrateful peasants

"What's the meaning of this, Namjoon?" A guy in his 30's asked, he seemed like one of the leaders here

"Well you see, we brought back Kiara here out of gratitude, we ought to repay her bravery and kindness by letting her stay"

The guy smiled and locked eyes with mine, "I see. Very well then. She can stay"

"What?!" The stupid barbie exclaimed

"Are you deaf girl?" I asked, monotonously

She narrowed her eyes at me, "I actually don't see a point for her to stay here I mean, what if she bites us while we're asleep huh?"

I rolled my eyes, "I'm not a cannibal. If I were one of those creatures then why do I have the ability to talk? Why didn't I attack when I first laid eyes on everyone in this room?" I asked, challenging her

She opened and closed her mouth, not knowing what to say,

"Then how can you explain your eyes?" Probably one of her friends asked

"I was bitten by a not so ordinary zombie" I plainly said

"What?"

"I was bitten but I still have my humanity intact. That means I do not eat humans to survive. I do not desire to eat flesh. My senses are much more heightened than a normal zombie and the one who bit me had also eyes like mine"

"How is that even-"

"How about we all sit down and talk about it?" The man asked before later introducing himself as Seowon

We did as told, and sat in a circle,

"So tell us Kiara, how is it possible to have your humanity intact despite being bitten?"

I shrugged, "To be honest, I don't exactly know why. But it's probably because the one who bit me has this mutation, but it was more rabid. I'm actually shocked to know that I didn't inherit its rabidness"

"How were you bitten?"

"Well, I was at home, in my room, watching k-dramas.."

"When suddenly my brother barged into my room and yelled at me to pack my bags. I was confused at first but then I heard some yells in the living room and growls outside of the house. I panicked and did what I was told and packed important things that I need. The growls grew even more louder. When I finished packing I followed my brother outside of my room" I trailed

"I saw the chaos... there were zombies punching our door and there were heavy furniture's blocking the door to prevent it from opening, the windows were tightly shut and the maids of the house was scattered and crying. The guards and other helpers who are men have weapons in hand as well as my father" I bit my lip as I recalled the memory

"The punching grew louder and I was frozen on my spot. Not long enough our front door was off of its hinges, and the furniture blocking its way was thrown in different areas of the house. Zombies went inside and started attacking and eating the maids while the guards and helpers tried killing them. I was harshly pulled by a person and I saw that it was just my mother, she was crying and so was I. My brother told me and my mom to run and hide and so we did, he gave us weapons to defend ourselves.."

"We ran and went outside of the house in the back. We ran in the streets and was chased by some zombies. Me and my mom were both terrified. We ran and ran but the zombies were fast, so my mom let go of my hand and pushed me to run, saying she'll hold them back for me." I clenched my jaw

I felt Taehyung's hand on my back so I let out a shaky breath,

"At first I didn't want to leave, but she made me. I took one last glance at my mother and ran. I hid in an alley, behind the trash, sobbing. I forced myself to stop when I heard a clang. My body kept on shaking. The creature went inside the alley that I was hiding. It's eyes were different. They were beautiful.."

"I moved my feet back a little that caused the lid of the can to fall, emitting a sound. I flinched and closed my eyes. It went towards me and I felt it stop in front of me. It forced me to open my eyes, and I did. I was freaking mesmerized, it felt like I was in a trance"

People in the circle leaned in as I further tell them my story

"But then it did the unthinkable"

"What did it do?" Jin asked softly

I locked eyes with him, "It smiled, Jin. The creature smiled at me"

His eyes widened and so did the others.

"I was shocked and it took advantage of it and immediately bit my arm. I screamed in agony and I tried to push it away but it stayed still. Before I was knocked unconscious, I caught it staring at me before grabbing a long stick and stabbing its head and neck"

"And when I woke up.."

"I'm now the person you are looking at right now"
