Chapter Ten

I know I said I wouldn't update but it turns out that my exams were pushed forward. Read and enjoy.

I lay on my king sized bed doing nothing other than looking at the ceiling. I couldn't figure out what to do with my time. I completely didn't know how I spent my day.

I suddenly heard a footstep coming towards my room. "It must be Liam" I thought. I dashed put of my bed, ran to the door and quickly opened it in the expectation that Liam has come to relieve me of my long term boredom.

Strangely, it was not Liam but a girl with dark brown hair almost like mine standing at the door.

I'm sorry do I know you? Wait it's possible I know you but as most people know, I was...

Hey there's no need to inform me about your accident and also your amnesia. Don't worry your BFF Katie will ensure you remember in no time. I wasn't in school today but I was informed that you came to school and I couldn't wait to see you so I came. Okey let's do one thing, go get ready so I can show around the city.

"Katie Katie" I kept mumbling within myself. Oh! Liam told me about her. He said she was my only friend. Well she was beautiful, her dark brown hair complimented her gray eyes and was of the same height as me buy she was really the chatty type. Let me get my bag, I'll join you in a jiffy and by the way some fresh air wouldn't hurt.

The wind moved through our hair and it made me feel alive again. Katie couldn't stop talking all the way.

Hey Dee, I know can't remember much but before your trip, you told me you were going to look  for a girl called Jackie and you also said you needed her help with something. Can you remember if you found her?

I might have met her but I can't remember any of it. I'm getting an headache, can we go back home.

Sure, let's just grab something from the supermarket a mile ahead.

I got into my room only to find Liam on my bed reading a book. "What are you doing here" I blurted out. I guess all of Katie talk was getting in my head so I shouted. I quickly rephrased my statement "what I meant to say was that why are you not asleep by this time"

  I was waiting for my little sis and by the way have you had dinner because I haven't.

An why haven't you had dinner, I asked as I rolled my eyes towards the wall clock. It's already 9:00 pm.

Mrs Anderson the maid was ill so I told her to go home and get some rest.

Aren't mum and dad  back yet? They should be home by now isn't it.

Oh I forgot to tell you that they won't be coming back for the next three days. They both went on business trip in San Fransisco.

I just got home after my accident and they are already out of the country. Wow!!! What caring parents they are.

Don't worry about dinner, Katie and i went out and got some fast food from the supermarket. I got noodles, chicken nuggets, ice cream and popcorn and vegetable salad. Actually Katie told me you like chicken nuggets very much.

After Liam ate the entire bowl of chicken nuggets all by himself, we decided to watch a movie in the sitting room. Liam opted that we should watch "the originals" which I reluctantly agreed to. After a few minutes watching the movie, I mistakenly spilled some chocolate ice cream on Liam's shirt.

"This means war" he shouted. Next thing I knew, Liam picked up his ice cream and landed it on my face and that was how the food fight started. After a few minutes of playing food fight, we both got exhausted and lay flat on the floor.

Liam turned his face looking straight at me "you know Andy, when I was told about your accident and when you were in coma for three months, I thought I would lose the closets family and friend I ever had. Thanks for coming back to me"

My heart was melted by the beautiful words that Lian said and it was like a poem was being recited just for me. "Who would leave and handsome and caring brother like you behind and besides, you couldn't get rid of me even if you wanted to" I chuckled.

Liam looked at me with a smiling face but this soon changed into a wondering face.

What's wrong with you I asked. Liam quickly changed his expression and formed a fake smile. "Why don't you go up stairs and freshen up then take rest" Liam said stuttering.

I knew he was hiding something but kept cool and went up stairs.
