Chapter Eighteen

I can't believe that things just got more awkward between me and Liam. I would have preferred it if I had just fallen on the ground and broken my nose,legs or anything else rather than falling on Liam.

As I lay on my bed, my mind kept going back to the fall I had just few minutes ago. We had steered into each others eyes for minutes before Liam moved me from his body and hurried up stairs without even looking back.

How will I face Liam now? Even if I was sleepy, I could not close my eyes till about 3am.

I was so tired so I decided to take a long rest since it was weekend and after all I wouldn't want to come in contact with my supposed twin.

Ding. My phone rang and it was a text message from none other than Katie.

Hey Dee, get ready because it's going to be fun all the way. Chad is celebrating is birthday today and gee I heard the party is going to be the best ever.
Me:
I don't think I can go. I pretty tired.
Katie:
Pwetty please.
You know about my crush on chad and I can't afford to miss this party and I also can't go alone.
Me:
Okey even if I wanted too come, I have nothing to wear.
Katie:
I knew you were going to say that. That was why I got you a beautiful and sexy dress in advance. Its already being delivered to your house.
Me:
That's typical of you Katie.
Katie:
Lol. See ya at the party.

I went down stairs to get something to eat but found Liam making waffles. Since he was facing the other way, i decided to avoid him and return to my room even if that means I would go hungry for the rest of the day.

Hey Jackie don't you want to have breakfast. Why leaving so soon.

Why are you calling me Jackie? What if someone hears you, how will you explain yourself.

Relax, its just both of us at home so you don't have to be scared and besides I'm more comfortable calling you Jackie.

We sat together at the dinning while eating breakfast and Liam kept making funny gestures as if he was trying to distract himself from the awkwardness that existed between us.

It was already evening and almost time for the party. Liam had left the house earlier but I have no idea where he was going looking all dressed up.

I quickly took a hot bath and wore the beautiful black dress Katie had sent for me. The dress reached mid thigh and made me look gorgeous. After I was through with my makeup, I couldn't believe I could ever look this stunning.

I left the house and in no time, i was at Chad's party. Katie was happy I could make it.

I could feel girls at the party throw laser shots off their eyes as I walked passed them.

I have to agree, the party was amazing especially having Katie the party maniac as my better half at least not for long before she went off dancing with birthday boy.

I grabbed a cup of punch and started sipping it at a conner watching everyone having fun at the party except me. I didn't want to have too much to drink because I had to drive myself home.

I decided to leave the party because I was really tired of starring at people making out.

As I was about to leave my eyes caught something, it was Liam in the company of his basketball team mates and some cheerleaders who were practically drooling over him like dogs on heat.

This sight made me feel something, though I didn't know what it was. I was really mad at whatever I was seeing but convinced myself that there is no way it was jealousy.

"Hey Dee, don't tell me you are trying to ditch the party" Katie said. Dee don't be a chicken, I mean you haven't even had more than a cup of punch.

She dragged me to where there was a drinking competition. The in charge of the game said "now whose next to compete with our one and only drinking champion".

Katie started yelling " Andy, Andy, Andy " and soon everyone joined her.

I could have refused but there was something in me that wanted some drink so I agreed.

After drinking more than ten cups of punch, I started feeling dizzy and then everything went blank.
