Jackie's POV

I woke up pretty early so as to leave without anyone realizing.

Well you must be wondering why I was leaving.

Andy was back and it wasn't convenient for me to stay here anymore and by the way, there wasn't anything left for me here. The unrequited love I have for Liam wasn't enough reason to stay back.

I knew I would never want to return to my step moms house but still had to leave.

As I sat in the bus on my way to my moms hometown which was only only about twenty miles from Liam's house, the thought of the times Liam and I spent together kept playing in my head.

I was already missing his presence around me but I guess that's what you get from having a one sided love.
Maybe he was only nice to me because he was missing his sister and wanted to use me to fill in the void.

My mom had taken me to my grandparents house when I was young. They passed away a year before my mom died but their house was never sold. I guess I could stay there until I think of a way forward.

I finally got there after staring at the rain droplets from the bus.  The house was exactly as I last saw it except the overgrown grass and dead flowers. I knew I had my work cut out for me the cleaning of the house.

After hours of removing cobwebs, mopping, weeding, washing and getting groceries from the nearby shop,  I finally made dinner, eat and went to bed.

As I lay on my bed feeling restless and uneasy, my thoughts narrowed back to Liam. I guess the work I did during the day really made me not to think about him.

I need to get a job to keep myself busy and also earn money to take care of myself.

It was morning already. The damn old alarm clock rang as if it was going to explode. I quickly took my bath, dressed up, picked up Lacie and set out is search for a job.

It wasn't easy searching for a job in new place but after a while, I finally secured a job at a delivery company.

The town was known for its fresh fruit and vegetables. This fruits and vegetables were delivered to neighboring town.

You get to have your own delivery truck and a partner who drives.

The job was stressful and at the same time very fun because you get to visit different towns and meet various kinds of people.

Two weeks had gone by and it felt just like yesterday that I left Liam's house. I still think about him every now and then. It wasn't easy to forget him.

"hey!!! hey!!! Jackie " my boss yelled, snapping his fingers in front of me.

"yes... s..ir" I answered in rather shocked tone.

"stop day dreaming and get ready to deliver some fruits to the east side neighboring town. They are having a fruit festival and the are going to need all the fruits they can get" he said with a serious look on his face.

"yes sir" I replied.

This was Liam's town. I hope I don't run into him or anyone I know.
