"Kol! What are you doing?" I heard Damon yell, possibly giving him the evil eye.
"Did you really not think that Bonnie wouldn't tell me that Davina's planning on leaving? We only came here to help Stefan, but the chances of that are getting slim. I don't want to be a downer, but Stefan's bed on the down low since California. Do you really think he's going to come back this late?" Kol responded, moving farther away from Damon from what I could tell, voicing his opinion.
"It's not impossible that—"
"Give it up, Damon. Again, I feel like he's humanity's slipping way more than it already was, I don't know why you can't see it. Everyone else may have hope, but I'm not exactly sure I do," Kol interrupted. I saw Damon run his hands through his hands through his hair, looking equally frustrated.
"You're the only person that thinks that," Damon mumbled, and I could tell by his tone that he was smirking, curious as to what was going on in his head.
"Damon, it's almost been a month! He probably would've come back by now."
"I don't like you talking my brother like that," Damon muttered, and I heard Kol sigh, almost as irritated as he was moments ago.
Days had passed since I heard the argument between the two witch's boyfriends. I still hadn't addressed it with Kol or Damon and was hoping neither of them suspected anything.
"Elena, Elena! I want to talk to you!" Damon hollered, stopping me in my tracks. When I recognized his voice, I immediately skidded to a halt and turned look at him as he caught up with me. "Elena, hey. No one's really heard from you, and we've gotten worried, so, is, everything okay?"
"Damon, I'm fine. I'll meet up with you guys later because I have stuff to with Caroline, so I'll see you later," I said, turning on my heel and going on my way, but Damon must've had other plans, grabbing my arm and spinning my so that each other.were facing each other. "I have no idea what you're doing, but it's making me really uncomfortable," I mumbled, trying to distance myself even if the chances of something actually happening was slim to none.
"Okay," he whispered, slowing backing away and focusing his attention back on the conversation. "Oh, and I was instructed to give you this," Damon told me, placing a necklace in my hand.
"Tell them I said thank you, please. What exactly is it though?"
"A necklace; Bonnie made it for you and it has a locator spell on it to find Stefan. Bonnie made a smaller one for me, and I promise you it works, so it should light up whenever he's near. You'll have to let me know if it works, okay?"
"That was really sweet of her; tell her I said thank you, please. I should be stopping down later. I want to address a meeting since I've been MIA the past couple of days. Is that okay?" I smiled, gliding my fingers along the pendant.
"I'm okay with that. I'll definitely be okay with that." Damon smiled, possibly thinking about all the plans I had going through my head. "So, I'll see you later, then."
"Of course, I'm going to go give the lovebirds a visit," I smirked before turning back around, smiling at how amazing my friends were. I would find Stefan, even if it's the last thing I do.
"Hey, Klaus," I sighed, walking into his house and straightening out my black floral-printed dress.
"You should me at home sleeping, Elena."
"What's the fun of that? I have plenty of time to sleep, plus I wanted to pay you guys a visit; Caroline wants to have lunch with me. Everyone knows it's stupid to say no to her," I joked, running a hand through my hair, but getting no response from the Hybrid. "What's wrong?"
"I'm so nervous, Elena. She says she wants this and is certain, but I don't know. I swear I have never been full of this much anxiety."
"Come on, Klaus! You know she loves you, it's been shown in so many ways possible. There is no way she'd regret this, no way," I replied, smirking as I took a seat next to him and waited for his reply.
"You really think so? I mean I guess I've never fallen in love with someone as deeply as her, so I'm just worried. She's beautiful, strong, and full of light," Klaus commented, his eyes lighting up as he was telling me all this. I was coming close to crying.
"You really mean that?"
"Yes. You know how incredible she is—how brave, fearless, and powerful she is—after all, she is your best friend."
"Yes, I do. It really is your mission to treat her like a princess, isn't it?"
"Is there not a day you don't go by without mentioning it? I guess you really are a hopeless romantic."
"Oh, you think so? Well, I guess you do love deeply. It could be a Mikealson thing. Speaking of which, how are Davina and Kol? I think you two have some serious competition on favorite couple," I asked, speaking my mind before Klaus turned back to me, he must've texted his brother and smiled when he got a reply. "I'm gonna go see what Caroline wants, and Klaus, I wouldn't stress anymore about her."
"Yeah, whatever you say, Elena," Klaus mumbled, moving upright.
"See you soon. No matter what you do, I'll follow your lead," I said, hugging him slightly, seeing someone outside.
"Hey, gorgeous. Are you doing anything tonight?" he said, closing in on me.
"Nothing that doesn't involve my boyfriend, you creep."
"I like the girls that are feisty," he winked before I shoved myself past him.
"I like it when perverts like you realize they've gone too far," I snapped backing, smirking lightly.
"Young man, she has a boyfriend she's madly in love with, so get out of her way, please. As for Elena, thanks for talking with me. You'll come by soon, okay?" Klaus said, seeming more confident than he was before.
"You know it," I hollered back to the hybrid, heading off to go see Caroline. While I was walking, I put the necklace that Bonnie had made me around my neck.
It didn't take long for my passion to find Stefan to become stronger.
