I smiled at everyone as they were surrounding people, showing how much gratitude I had for their support. My outfit currently reminded me of something I wore with Stefan when we were training as I was walking with my favorite people. I looked and felt the happiest I had been in a long time like I knew everything would come together on its own, like the people I loved would find their way back to me eventually.

Everyone was mainly concerned about Caroline's wedding, Davina sitting right next to me. It was being decided that Caroline would play a song during the wedding, while Bonnie would play the guitar. The boys were deciding on what food to have and where they should cater from.

There was also a plan to try and get Stefan to show up, but we weren't making that the top priority. We were still waiting to see the dress, but my best friend wouldn't let us, saying something about how that would ruin the magical essence of the wedding. I was curious as to why she acting this way, respected her wishes, considering I was her maid of honor.

I usually wouldn't have been this anxious and terrified for a wedding, but I guess I always expected that Stefan would accompany me to each and every one of them; he insisted we go to as many as we possibly could in order to plan for our wedding some day. However, what made me the happiest was the song that Caroline had decided to sing.

It was Never Say Never by The Fray and she chose it because she thought it encompassed the good and the bad they went through, but all I thought about was Stefan, every memory we went through, everything he had helped me through, all the flaws he helped me to embrace.

"Elena! Do me a favor, make sure the video of all of Klaus and Caroline's memories is all good. It will play while Caroline's singing Never Say Never and then that's when everyone else will give their speeches as well. I will also see if any of the couples want to dance off to the side, but anyone can also just have free roam of the area as well. Once that's finished, we'll have dinner. Does all that sound good to you?" Davina asked, pushing the computer with the video loaded in my direction.

"Of course it does, Davina. Are you sire we'll be able to get everything in order? Everything sounds good, but the last thing I want is to disappoint Caroline," I responsible, watching the video, a smile spreading on my face.

"Elena, what's that look for? Is everything okay? You seem oddly giddy right now," Davina asked, putting a hand on my shoulder. I just nodded my head, smiling wider at the witch's gesture. I didn't know when I started turning into a hopeless romantic, but it happened, and I finally found hope that I could get Stefan back.

"I just think I may have found a way to talk to Stefan."

"What do you mean? He practically wanted to rip your head off the last time you two talked."

"Davina, let me do this. He won't hurt me, I just want to say how much he means to me."

"His switch is flipped, he'll say anything to make you feel empathy for him."

"And if by a chance I can get his switch flipped back on, Klaus may actually have a best man at his wedding," I quipped, giving the witch the laptop and digging my phone out of my purse. "Do me a favor, tell Caroline I'll be right back, as well as the fact that the video looks amazing"

"Yes, Ms. Elena. Promise me that if he if says anything to hurt you, I have no issue doing the most powerful locator spell on him to voice my opinion."

"Have I ever told you that you have no filter when it comes to protecting me?" Elena questioned, my voice teasing.

"Aren't you the same way? That's why we're such good friends because we would both rain hell down on anyone who tries to hurt the four of us. I know you think you brought all this drama into our lives, but you're too important to go through it alone. You don't deserve all the pain that you've gone through," Davina added, causing a smile to break out on my face.

I was completely stunned, after everything I went through in my life, I just assumed it was something I deserved.

"I love you," I whispered as I waved at her from her distant, my face glowing, but my excitement on the surface didn't even become show a fraction of what I was feeling. If there was anything I knew was for certain, I would feel like I could depend on her. Although, I did feel guilty for bringing her into so much drama in my life.

"I love you too. If you need anything, I'll be right here, just a holler away."

"You know I will." I gave her one last smile, going to a more secluded part of the venue. "In fact, you can even come with me. Is that okay with you? In Mystic Falls, you can never be too careful about not having enough backup."

"That sounds great." Davina grabbed my hand as we walked, making sure I wasn't leaving her side. "You can accomplish anything with us by your side."

I would have probably lost my mind if I hadn't met any of them.
