I was currently with everyone else in the woods, getting ready for another day of training. The sun was currently shining and it seemed like everything was going right in the world, but it wasn't.

"So, Kol's been radio silent for a few days," Damon said, pulling out the vervain grenades and wooden stakes. "Does anyone know where he is?"

"Hm, he said something wanting to just relax for a couple of days, but he should be here any minute now. He's been a little wonky these past few days," Davina said, putting up the barrier spell once more. "Wow Bonnie, you almost didn't need my help with that."

"Let's just say you've been teaching me a lot, so I have you to thank for that. Your spell book is a literal lifesaver and I don't think I would've improved this much," Bonnie answered, before walking back to me.

"That's not me, that's you. You have a lot of potential."

"I don't know, I'm just thankful I have you to help me," Bonnie muttered, looking into her eyes and the witch beside her smiled. I felt the magic surge around the woods during their conversation. "I'm grateful to have met you!"

"Thank you, Ms. Bennett. I am too," she replied, smiling with tears in her eyes. "You are by far one of the most amazing people I have ever met, which I meant with my entire heart, Bonnie," Davina added, holding Bonnie's hands in hers. "I never knew what it was like to have an actual friend."

"You're gonna make me cry!" Davina said, a smile growing on her face. "Wow, who knew I had feelings?"

"I know. After all, I shut myself out from people for years, spending my days in the church attic, it hurts to remember." She shrugged, probably to make us feel less bad for her than we did. "But it's all over now that I've met the Mikealsons."

"Of course, that was really sweet of them. So, Elena, I assume its time we start?" Bonnie asked, stopping her conversation with Davina.

"Yeah, we should. I kinda wanted to start with Kol, but where is he?" I asked, stretching my arms.

"Well, Little Petrova, it seems I've been summoned."

"What took you so long?" I asked, pulling out the stakes and realized what it looked like. "I wasn't going to—"

"No, it's all good. Um, I knew you weren't going to stake me," he answered, watching the clouds cover the sun.

"I'd really like to train with you if that's okay," I said, wanting to see what his reaction was and how every else would react. Sure, they all said they were fine with it, but I knew Davina may grow concerned.

"Hm, I'm okay with that," Kol hummed, taking the stake in my hand from me.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I asked, walking backward.

"Because you've technically never fought me before."

"I know." He threw me a smile, which someone sent chills down my spine. I smiled back quickly in return, looking back and forth from him to Davina. "You know I won't hurt you, right?"

"I know," I whispered, my gaze following the floor as Kol was thinking. It just made the realization that I was doing this to get Stefan back even stronger.

"Who's next?"

"Sure," Damon shrugged, watching me like a hawk as I pulled out the bow and arrow. As I knocked the arrow into place, I shot it at Damon quickly. The arrow lodged itself in the tree, reminding me of the time I was training with Stefan. "Elena, that was a good shot."

"It certainly was, but I have Stefan to thank for that."

Daman gave me a small smile, while I was reminiscing on my past memories with Stefan. He removed the arrow from the tree and threw it back in the tree. I threw him a glare.

"Do you honestly expect vampires that may want to rip your head off to not sneak up on you?"

"I guess you have a point, but you almost took me out, after all." I sighed, looking at how dark the sky was getting.

"Elena, it'd be better if we stayed! After all, we need to prep you for what to do until Stefan comes back because he's going to make a lot of people angry!"

"I'm sorry, but I have a really big day tomorrow, and everyone here looks exhausted. I promise we'll train soon."

"Why can't you just call in sick? Is it really necessary to go?" Damon argued, looking at Bonnie for support.

"Damon, I'm about to fall asleep. If you haven't noticed, I've been yawning my head off for the past thirty minutes, so I want to go home and go to bed; please let me do that."

"What time is it?"

"7:00. You know there's a Salvatore cabin not far from here if you want to sleep in there?"

"No, where I work is too far from the hospital and I don't need a lecture from my boss. I agree with Bonnie, we should back. You know, this is probably the best improvement I've had in a long time.

"I believe that too and you want to hear something else?"

"What's that?"

"That Stefan probably will too."
