Recently Dakota has been going through some things with family and I feel that I should take her out . She's been really sweet to me and it's upsetting that I have to keep things from her and lie . But its only so much I can allow her to know . Believe me what she doesn't know wont kill her and that's not a joke . Parts of me are afraid that she will get caught in the cross fire between my past and my present ....
Blasting migos threw my speakers I make my way over to Kota's house . It was a quick fifteen minute drive . Finally approaching her driveway I text her to come outside . "Why the sudden pop up ? " She asked walking up to my window ."Are you busy " I asked her while stepping out the car . Toni shook her head no "So you comin in ?"
I bit my lip from the anxiety that is she trying to build up . Is she trying to introduce me to her parents? "I'm not even dressed Dakota , for real look at me " I look over at the red door then back down . Toni chuckled then went to the passenger's side of the car . "Where to ugly "she smiled revealing her perly white teeth . The thing I admired most about Dakota is that she has such a bubbly personality . She's always entertaining the crowd with jokes or merely her existence .

"Were driving out of town and its a long car drive so tell me about The famous Dakota Selah Jones " I giggled at the fact of her face when I said her full name . " HEY HEY HEY " toni playfully hit my shoulder .
"Alright well first its no famous Dakota Selah Jones" She paused to collect her thoughts then continued . "Well for one I'm seventeen.I like horror and syfy really anything that makes you think . Uhm one day I would love to go ice skating or skydiving . " Dakota smiled then shrugged her shoulders .
"College plans ? " I asked looking at her then back at the road . "Tampa University or University of Houston "
"That's whats up seems like you have your future planned out " She chuckled then elbowed me playfully . "What about you Toni huh ?" . Honestly I cant answer her question . All I'm trying to do right now is discover who I truly am and stay out of anything dealing with Jane . Things between me and her run pretty deep . Toni snapped her fingers in front of my face pulling me out of my thoughts .
Laughing I reply "I'm taking it day by day with life yo know ? " . She shook her head no in disappointment " Nope what do you want to do with your life ? What is your passion ? " Toni focused all of her attention on me waiting for a response . "To be happy "
Toni thought about my response for a little while then continued to ask questions ."So how was your childhood ? Do you have sibling ? "
"Well my childhood was something uhh I have a big sister and that's about it " I respond keeping it short and sweet . But did Dakota take that as a simple answer ? No she did not . Thankfully I was saved because we finally arrived at our destination .
When Toni got out of the car she looked around the vacant parking lot then turned and looked at me . "The hell are we Toni ? I'm not down for this creepy shit , like we need to be around people so if you kill me I can be out in the open . " She begin to pace back and forth .
"Relax Kota follow me " I said putting my hand out for her to hold , looking at me she grabbed my hand and I led her into the little town . After a five minute walk we were finally greeted by people who works for a puppy rescue center . "Aww look at him " Toni squealed while picking up the puppy .
We played with him for awhile until a family wanted to see him . Now I see she likes dogs ....that's an idea for the future ....
"Babe you want some ice cream " I asked as we approached the ice cream parlor . She nodded her head yes and ran into the ice cream parlor . I giggled then kissed her cheek " Can we have one strawberry waffle cone and babe what do you want ?"
"And a chocolate waffle cone "she begin to take out her wallet but I shook my head no and handed the lady a five dollar bill . She gave us the changed and we continued to walk and talking . I have learned so much about Dakota in one day like as cliché as this sounds I really feel like I have known her all my life . "So like are we together or " Dakota mumbled then licked her ice cream .
I chuckled at how cute she was "Repeat " I said cupping my ear with a smile . "No you heard me Toni don't bull shit me " She rolled her eyes . I licked her ice cream cone while she wasnt looking . Or at least I thought ..
"Really " She laughed at the ice cream that was on my nose . " Its so funny how about that " I took some and put it on her nose .

"Wow this is beautiful " I said wrapping my arm around Toni's waist . "I'm glad you like it Kota " This lady and her husband I assumed approached us hand in hand ."Come sit we don't bite plus we have popcorn " The lady gestured for us to have a seat . We thank her for her hospitality and took a seat .
"Thank you for a wonderful day I enjoyed it " I peeked her lips then cuddled up next to her . "Consider it a date " Toni whispered in my ear . I turn my face to blush this girl here is something else . I don't know what it is but all I know is when I'm with her time stops its just me and her even though I know she has hidden skeletons . I don't care though but eventually I would like to know more about her and not just the sugar coated answers
"To answer your questions from earlier ...yes ..we are together " Toni whispered in my ear again .
