"When Dakota mentioned a friend coming over I never expected her to be so pretty " Dakota's mom said attempting to making small conversation."Thank you so much I see where she gets her good looks " I smiled at Dakota ."So are you to like ? Uh a thing?  " Marcus said walking into the room sending chills through my body . Not the good ones either .

"Well " I laugh at this uncomfortable situation Dakota has put me in . "Well uhm ..lets let kota answer that " ."I care about her and she knows that.   We're taking it slow I don't want to mess it up " she winked at me "Right ugly? "

"Yep "

"Wait ?! Bookworm is that you ? I saw your mom down on 24th street this morning " Marcus sat across from me. Right then and there I knew I was screwed.  How in the hell did he see my mom when she moved back home ? Here she comes fucking shit up again .

But before I continue let's go back to before all of this happened..........

Earlier that morning my mom texted me to see if we were I
ok.  I chose not to respond we've been making it this far why do we need you now . Don't play mommy because your not a mother . At least a real one. My thought were interrupted by  my sister throwing up in MY bathroom.  Every morning shes been doing this . Its two in the morning she probably thinks I'm sleep so I'm going to leave it like that way  .

"I'm so sick of this " she said  while calling somebody.  Who is she calling at two in the morning.?

"Bring me something for my stomach and don't forget my prenatal vitamins.  " she whispered into the phone while walking out of my bedroom ."Aw damn " I pull the covers over my head and attempt to go to sleep . Prayerfully when I wake up this will all be some misunderstanding . She's  not even twenty-five yet . Now shes pregnant......

This pregnancy was not planned at all and its messed up because my baby wont be able to experience what its like to have a father . Growing up without a dad for me was difficult which is probably why Im in this situation now . Being without a father caused me to find comfort in men and in my previous relationship . I believe that if he was there to show me what a real man was like things would be different . Now that Im pregnant I cant finish college , everything I do from now on has to be for my baby boy .  Toni does not know which is killing me inside we tell each other everything . Lately it has been different ... all the money she got in a day . Somethings up and Im going to find out ....

"Bye Zoey I will be back home later " She yelled from the living room . "Wait !!" I rush down the stairs to stop her."What is it " She continued to put her books in her bookbag . "So about the money " I lean against the wall waiting for a response . Instead of responding all she did was roll her eyes and walk into the kitchen. I knew her sneaky ass was into something "You cant get outta this one Toni " I trailed behind her .

"Look Z bills paid and we have a roof over our head so stop riding me " She pushes past me and walks to get the keys . But before she could grab them I pushed them off of the coffee table sending them flying across the room . Toni caught a big attitude as always and yelled "Zoey chill I really gotta go !!".   "You not running shit honey and I need you to know that " She smacked her teeth and went to retrieve the keys . "You have no right to talk at all . Walking around here whispering and shit about you being pregnant . " Toni replied
