Dakota

My alarm goes off two times and I ignored both times . Thinking I would get some sleep I rolled over and pulled the covers over my face . Suddenly the lights are turned on and the covers are off my body. "Get up ..Get up ! " my mother yelled .

"Nooooo " I mumble back to her while putting the pillow over my face . Why does she insist on waking me up ? It's Friday I don't feel like going . "Dakota it's past eight , are you serious? Your so irresponsible at times ." She pushes me off the bed . I rub my back from the pain she just caused me .

"Seriously get up Dakota your acting like a child right now . You know you have to go to school . Like do not want to be successful " my mom rolled her eyes in disbelief and stormed out of my room . "It's to early ma " I walk over to the closet to put my robe on .

"I'm up you happy now and can I hold twenty dollars for gas ?" . My mom hands me the money and gives me another speech on how irresponsible I am. Then tells me I need a job for a second I thought I heard her incorrect. "Uhm what " I ask her with a hint of an attitude. "Yes a job babydoll " she smiles then walks off but turns on her heels . "Dakota you need to pay your phone bill by the first ".

I'm not about to go looking for a job fuck she thought . After getting dressed I run to target to get some lemonade and barbecue chips .

I blast kehlani on the way to the store.Until some dumb ass hit my car on the side knocking the mirror off . I feel my blood beginning to boil and automatically I get out the car to kick somebody ass . "Bruh what the hell did you not see that your light was red ?"

"I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention " the young woman apologized while getting out of her car . "No shit " I reply about to go off until I notice her baby bump . "Are you ok mama "

"Yes I'm fine and I'm so sorry about your car it's been a crazy evening " she said while handing me her insurance information. I tell her no it fine and I'll handle it. She thanks me and apologizes .

I purchased everything I wanted and begin to walk out of the store until I noticed Marcus with a little boy . He put him on his shoulders and begin to shake him around. The little boy giggled while tapping his head . So he has a kid or is that his nephew?

"He's cute " I approached him and the little boy . Marcus turn around to face me and stares . He didn't say anything at all ."Man look this shit you got going on with my moms gotta stop . Is that your kid ? "

He nods his head yes slowly . " she knows already but before you try to judge anyone. You might want to ask your girlfriend who she works for . Matter of fact ask her who Jane is for me while your at it ". He smirks then walks away.

"Can I talk to you?" Zoey asked while sitting across from me. I shake my head yes and brace myself for what I'm about to hear . "So like I got into a car accident but the girl was real chill and let me go " she smiled .

I rolled my eyes at her she's always doing some dumb shit . "For one stop smiling and why are you so damn careless Zoey ?" Before she could answer the doorbell rang and Zoey jumped up to answer it . There stood a angry Dakota...

"Hello again " Zoey said stepping aside to let her in . Dakota walked over to me and squatted in front of me . She took a deep breath while placing her hand on my leg ." I've had a really shitty day so don't lie " . I raised a brow in confusion "About what Kota "

"Who is Jane and where do you work ? Why does Marcus know who she is and I don't ? Matter of fact why didn't you tell me you had a sister oh and thank you for fucking my shit up . Toni what the hell are you hiding ? " she asked

Before I knew it lies came flying out of my mouth 🤷🏽‍♀️
