As expected, you were blinded as you departed the hospital. Reporters flocked to your limping form as you walked away, cast on your leg and midsection bandaged tightly beneath a loose sweater provided via Toriel. All around you cameras were held at the ready as reporters shoved microphones in your face, questions pelting you like bullets.

"Ambassador (L/N)! Can you tell us what happened? What injures have you suffered?" One shouted.

"Your parents were seen exiting the hospital in a rush yesterday. Did you force them from the premises?"

"An unidentified monster and a young child were seen forcing their way on to the ambulance that transported you to the hospital. Are they friends of yours? Who were they?"

You couldn't help but feel annoyed. It was like they couldn't see Sans walking behind you or Frisk clinging to your hand. However, despite your growing irritation, you kept your grin on and acted just fine. "I'm sorry you guys, but I really don't have time for questions. I must get back to my job and catch up on my work."

"Does that mean that this monster and child are not friends of yours?" One pressed.

"What?! How biased are you guys? How do you not recognize the Ambassador of Monsters? This 'child' is both a friend of mine as well as my closest colleague." You explained, tone exasperated. "And this skeleton happens to be the one that came back and found me when I was injured. They stayed with me when I got hurt."

"So does this mean you've allied yourself closely with monsters?"

You looked at the reporter with a poisonous glare. "I'm leading by example. Be kind to all and receive what you earn."

Sans placed his hand on the small of your back, leading you to the waiting car while waving off the reporters. "Come on kid. We better bounce before the crowd gets to thick to move." Sans whispered. You pushed Frisk ahead of you, Sans bringing up the rear as you rushed as fast as possible towards the vehicle. Muscle bound guards opened the door, shooing away press as they ushered you inside. Frisk crawled in ahead of you, you yourself taking a bit longer to get in with a leg in a cast and a crutch. As Sans entered behind you, the door shut with a sharp slam and the guard got back into the driver's seat. The car pulled off abruptly, and you yelped a you hurriedly buckled your seat belt. As you pulled away from the hospital, you glimpsed back at the crowd that trailed behind trying to snap their final shots. You sighed, slouching into my seat.

"I guess you called it yet again." You muttered, offering a shallow smile.

Sans shrugged, leaning back into his chair as he looked at Frisk. "You're both okay?"

Frisk nodded and presented his peppiest thumbs up he had as you sank into your seat, sighing heavily. "Damn media." You muttered not-so-sarcastically, but you faked a smile. "Gotta love having them up your ass about every small detail of your life."

Frisk tried to feign laughter, but failed miserably. So you straightened your posture and closed your eyes with your nose up turned. Silence filled the car, but you did't feel that same tension you were used to. It was more of a respectful quiet, time to recover from the tsunami of attention. The driver's eyes glanced nervously between the back and the road up until the very moment he pulled to a stop in the front of the college dorms. You nodded appreciatively to the driver as Sans opened the door for you and helped you out.

"Everything is in my dorm correct?" You asked the driver, balancing carefully with the crutch.

He nodded, pointing to the main door. "Yes. Reports from your time away from your position have been delivered to your quarters, as well as all business proposals left from the older politicians. A shredder was sent along with those as instructed. However, your parents insist you accept their offer. Having someone else-"
