Your heels clicked sharply as you walked to your weekly meeting. You tugged down on your tight skirt and checked the buttons of your blouse as you prepared to enter. Files of requests and recent activity among the human side of this conflict were tucked in your arm. You had a small messenger bag tapping against your side but it was already crammed full of course books and notes for your college.
Why did I ever send in this application?! The stress is gonna kill me.
You sighed heavily and glanced in a hallway mirror, stopping a moment. You didn't look like you at all. Your hair was pulled back in a tight bun. Your torso was covered by a thin, long-sleeved blouse that was tucked into a skin tight pencil skirt. Your feet ached from within a set of heels you borrowed from your mother, cobalt blue like your blouse. Your thin - rimmed glasses were perched on your nose, adding about 20 years to your young age. At the moment, you were regretting having ever applied... again.
Can't worry about that now. I have a meeting to attend to. Let's go.
You stilled yourself and took a deep breath before continuing. You placed your hand on the knob and opened the door, stepping inside the room. You moved to your chair across from the other ambassador and sat, smiling at him sweetly.
The other ambassador was a child actually. He couldn't be more than eight and he wore a warm - looking sweater of magenta and blue. His eyes were small and he had a wide, friendly smile which he shared with you.
"Hi Miss (Y/N)! Are you ready?" He asked gently, knowing I hated these meetings.
You nodded with a quaint laugh. "I don't know how you're this happy at this time of the morning. I'm barely awake."
Frisk snickered. "Don't tell Toriel, but Sans let me have coffee."
You laughed. "Careful Frisk, you'll get addicted. Trust me. I practically live off the stuff. Oh, and (Y/N) is fine. I'm not really one for formalities."
Frisk nodded and revealed a collection of papers. You brandished your own, much thicker, pile of request and complaints. You eyes his shallow pile and snickered. "Wanna trade sides?" You teased.
He chuckled and shook his head. "No thanks! I like my small pile over here."
After laughing, you stood and moved your seat so it sat adjacent to Frisk. "Let's start."

You yawned and glanced at the clock, heart sinking as yet again you missed class for the sake of humans. You and Frisk had just worked out the last compromise but it has come at the price of you missing an entire day of school. You constrained a groan as you stacked your papers and notes."Welp, that's another days work come to an end. My side sure is needy compared to yours." You snickered.
Frisk laughed. "Just wait until the monsters' population spikes. They're demands will get bigger too no doubt."
You both shared a brief moment of laughter. You watched as he place his papers in a bright blue folder and shoved it in a backpack. You couldn't help the ghost of a smile haunting your face.
"You sure are one amazing kid." You mused aloud. "You're advocate for an entire species and you're not even eighteen yet."
He met your gaze and smiled. "It's not all that hard. I'm determined to see our two races as friends!"
You tilted your head on confusion. "Wait, do you not see yourself as human? Not that it would be a bad thing."
He giggled. "Sometimes I feel human, but it's more fun to be a monster."
