Leo's POV

It was too quiet, even with all the trauma we'd been through in the last week there was little sound.

Mikey laid in his room reading his comic books, no video games, no skateboard, just reading.

Donnie also read, but his item of choice was an ecology book Katrina had brought for him.

Master Splinter meditated constantly and barely spoke.

Raph stayed in his room, only coming out to eat something or go running. I haven't heard his voice for days.

Finally, Katrina was gone. She and Raph didn't really make up. I guess she needed her time, completely understandable but Raph was a mess and she probably was too.

I left our home with that in mind. First checking her apartment which was empty and dirty as ever. Next, I went to her job, calling her cell number.

"This is Trina."

"Meet me outside, we gotta talk."

The connection ended and I heard the back door creak open a few minutes later.

Her scrubs were hanging slightly and her undereye bags were deep purple.

"What wrong?" She asked using the best concerned voice she could muster.

"I'm worried, about you and my brother. I'm not asking you two to make up, I'm only asking to provide solid ground for him. You both are barely eating, barely sleeping, barely functioning. This has been hard on all of us, I think some time together will help the healing."

She sighed while nodding her head.

"You came at a good time. I was going to go to cancel my lease and move back to Virginia. I will come later tonight and talk to him. I can't promise anything but I will promise to try my best to mend the family."

I took her into my arms and squeezed softly, she did the same patting my shell.

"Thanks for talking to me Leo, it's hard being the big brother and leader. You do it well."

"I try my best."

*HOURS LATER*

Raph's POV

There was a knock at my door, what could anyone possibly want from me?

"Her doofus. Can you let me in?"

It was Katrina, I stood and unlocked the door. Her lavender colored scrubs had blood and other bodily secretions all over them.

"Um... what happened?"

She looked down at herself. "Someone fed bad fish to our orca. I had to operate and take out the contents of her stomach. Can I come in?"

I lifted my arm allowing her to slide into my room. It was clean since I had nowhere else to put my energy.

"How's your arm?" I reached out for her still healing arm, she flinched but allowed me to touch it.

"It still hurts but I'm doing better. Um, Leo stopped and visited me at work today."

"Oh, I hope he didn't bother you too badly."

"No, no. He just opened my eyes a little. Raphael, I had planned on moving away." She took and pause and took a single step closer to me. "I'm still unsure what to do exactly but I know now running from you will not stop your pain nor my own."

"I'm happy you came back. I have missed you, even if we were still angry or whatever, being near you feels better than without you." I bit my lip holding back some tears.

My mate grabbed my hand and rubbed it, "Let's finish our talk."

"Okay."

Katrina's POV

Tears were spilled and at times voices were raised but after hours, I was finally in the arms with the turtle that loved me just as much as I love him.

"You should move in fully."

"What would be my mailing address? 100 Stanky Sewer Lane?"

He chuckled softly, causing my head to rise and fall with his chest.

"You could get a PO Box." "I'm good, I like my fancy mattress anyway."

Someone opened the door slowly, it was Donnie.

"Good you two have made up."

I nodded, "Yes, is there something you need?"

"Well, we made dinner and were wondering if you two would like to join us or continue being Ghandi."

Raph did not laugh and glanced at me confused. "Is that an eating disorder or something?" I kept my laughter in and answered his question in a soft whisper. "No. I will explain later. Let's go eat."

And with that life was back to kinda normal for Raphael and I.

Not the end I promise! Just a nice little break!
