Cracked Hopes & False Shells Ch. 16

*First of all yeah the title is supposed to be like that I wanted to switch it up lol make y'all think a little. Second sorry for slow updates! Honestly I'm stressed af right now! If y'all didn't know I'm a senior in high school and with my finals coming up I've been busy working to pull my grades up, along with my literal job. However more should be coming soon! I know I've promised this before but I really mean it! On my second semester I'll be home after lunch therefore I'll have more time to myself! Slowly I am trenching through the old chapters and fixing little errors like grammar, punctuation, and other things that will allow y'all to have a better reading experience!  I plan on wrapping up this story in 5-10 more chapters if not less so I can begin on a new story! I was thinking of doing an original story but about how I met my wonderful boyfriend and weird love is! Let me know if y'all wanna hear that! If not I'm always welcoming ideas! Love y'all! BTW this story has a very graphic end scene. If you have gone through stages of depression where you have attempted suicide please skip this chapter as a whole.*

Leo's POV

How much longer could this fight go on? The waves of Foot were finally diminishing but Shredder was still going strong battling me. 'There's no way he's human he must run out of energy at some point.'

An arrow flew past my check into the stomach of the armor of Shredder where the slimy, pink, octopus looking creature lied. 

It began to talk. "How dare you! All attack the girl!" The weak force of just around 20 was taken down quickly by Raph's rage alone. 'Shredder' ran off and Karai followed him. Katrina was hot on their heels. 

"Hurry up they'll get away!" 

We rushed behind her even though the stairway was narrow and we were too large to squeeze it in by ourselves let alone all four of us. 

'She's fast I don't even know where she went.' A door suddenly swung up from above and yelling began. 

Katrina's POV

"How dare you attack my family?! How dare you attack my love! You evil creature! Even the Devil would deny his love for you!" 

Hot, I felt hot all over and it was getting worse. That bitch stood next to it staring blankly. "You cannot kill us."

"Well let me try." Before I could lunge a tattooed arm ripped be back and I was slammed to the ground. 

Raphael leaned over me with most anger but some sadness in his golden eyes. "I'm not losing you."

"I'm not losing you either." I kicked his side where's shell wasn't covered and took his sai racing toward Karai. 

She predicted I was coming for her since she unsheathed her own katana. Yelling sounded behind me and I felt chased. I had to kill her before they had the pleasure to. 

Shredder jumped in front of me quickly but his ignorant self left enough space between his legs in which I slid through. 

Swords clashed behind me once again but they were slowing down as it felt like forever rising from the ground as fast as I could and shoving my love's sai into the neck of the person I despised the most but never really knew. 

It was nearly silent as her blood poured down onto my still clenched fist. All I could hear was my pounding heart but then came the yelling, but from my own mind. 

'You killed someone!' 

'You're a murder!'

'She might've had a family!'

'You're just as evil as they are!'

I tried to fight them back, I wasn't evil I was just protecting the one I love! 

'No you wanted the satisfaction of killing someone in general.'

I fell to my knees with Karai and began to pressure her wound, there was no way she'd survive but now I was hoping she would. 

"BREATHE DAMMIT! I DIDN'T WANT TO KILL YOU!"

'Yes, you did.'

Raph's POV

She.... she killed Karai. Leo stared for one moment too long and now had a sword stuck in his shoulder, Mikey and I took over the fighting while Donnie went to fix Leo. I could still glance and see Katrina now trying to resurrect the souless body of Karai.

How could the one person I loved the most kill someone in such a brutal manner? She wasn't supposed to kill her! Leo wanted to change Karai's ways but now I guess he wouldn't get the chance. Mikey ripped the slimy living thing out of its shell as it's shell fell many stories down tot he streets of New York.

It wiggled around but I sliced off its legs, I couldn't kill it. 

All was still but the sound of crying from two people. My mate was now standing along the edge of the building looking down while my oldest brother was clenching his dead star-crossed lover in his arms. 

There was no time to decide which one to go to, for my mate had already made up her mind and Leo did as well. 

"Just do it already." She looked as my brother after his sentence with tears in her eyes, turning her head further back my vision got blurry. I saw her mouth "I'm sorry." Then nothing was where she was just a couple seconds ago. 

I rushed to the edge and say her red hair distancing further away from the building and closer to the ground. A crack rang out and I could not longer tell what was her blood or her hair scattered on the streets. 

I don't remember screaming but my lungs hurt, they were inflamed but I couldn't stop. The bright night surrounding me soon turned to black. 

Was this a nightmare? It surely felt like one.
