The Return of Shredder Ch. 13

Katrina's POV

Opening my eyes I saw Raph walking into the room with a towel around his waist, "Sorry didn't mean to wake you." He leaned over and kissed my forehead. "It's cool, I see you're picking up on my human tendencies are ya?" I cracked my back while standing, "Damn what was that?" I laughed, "I have old lady bones." "Shut up, you're only like 18 right?" I felt my eyes widened, "No! I'm older than you, I'm 22." 

It was Raph's turn for his eyes to get wide, "You're 22?" I nodded changing into leggings and hoodie, it was turning into winter and I hated the cold. "Didn't Leo show you the file?" Raph gave me a confused look, "What file?" "My file. My history file." "Oh, he's going to get it." "Raph don't worry about it, he's just trying to protect your family." "He doesn't need to we can protect ourselves." "Just hush and cool down please?" 

He opened his mouth to protest but closed it and walked out the room. I sighed and went to Mikey's room seeing he was busy reading an actual novel. "Whatcha reading?" He shot up quickly and hit the book under his pillow. "Nothing! Nothing at all."

Before I could inquire any further Leo walked into the room and motioned for me to follow him. 

"So Master Splinter thinks you should meditate with us today after training, so we can test if you can see the future." "How would we even know? I might've been sleeping and had a dream." "Splinter says he'll be able to tell." "Alright, I guess." 

I watched the boys train, they were so focused. Except sometimes Mikey would complain of hunger pains. Once their training was finished they started meditating, I sat on the floor to join them. 

'Here we go.'

Leo's POV

Once Katrina joined our meditation we looked at her to see if she'd have another vision, after 5 minutes she opened her eyes confused. "Well?" "Um Master Splinter it sounds weird but I only saw my own memories of when I was little, I didn't see the future or anything." "Are you sure they were memories?" "Yea it was my 17th birthday they took me to the zoo like they always did."

"Katrina you must tell us what happened." She sighed looking at Splinter. "I'm telling you nothing happened it was a memory." She was lying I just knew it, turning to my sensei he gave me a look that immediately told me to drop it.

Donnie called that there were foot clan in the sewers, "Code Black! Raph hide her!" 

Raph's POV

I ran after Katrina who was running to Mikey's room, "Come on we have to hide." I threw her on my shoulder and went to my hiding spot. I saw Katrina turn her phone off, good thing she did. I heard the sound of foot ninjas in the lair, my spot was some closet Donnie made for our old weapons that we had broken. Unfortunately, it was closest to the front entrance, "Find them alive so I can kill them myself." 

Shredder?! Katrina killed him, her eyes were wide when I looked at her. After maybe an hour of searching the sound of destruction stopped. "They aren't here master." "Search the city! We will find them. Go!" 

After a couple of minutes, there was a tap on the door, it was the 'all good' tap. I opened the door and saw Donnie and Master Splinter, looking past them I saw they destroyed our home. "Let's go after them and kick some shell!" "No Raphael stop my son, we must attack them when they least expect it as they did for us." "Master Splinter we can't just stand here after they destroyed our lair!" I felt Katrina's hand on my shoulder, I sighed. "We can and we must. Start cleaning up."

As we begun cleaning I saw Katrina and Leo talking, they looked surprised. 'What could they be talking about?' Katrina did most of the cleaning while the rest of us moved stuff that we could no longer use up to the streets. Half of our furniture was up there, we had no couch, most of our TVs were shattered, and posters were torn from walls. 

"I'll get you guys new stuff." Katrina looked even more stressed, I finally noticed her clothes were starting to get baggy and the bags under her eyes couldn't be covered with makeup anymore. I hugged her into my chest, "We need to talk." I had to whisper so the guys wouldn't try to listen in, I dragged her into my destroyed room. "Stop stressing, when do you start working again?" "Next Tuesday, I need to. All the stuff is going to cost a lot of money." "Don't worry about that, I'm worried about you. You need sleep and food." 

She looked away, "Raph it's just so much going on, I'll be okay though. We'll be okay right?" I hugged her again, "Yeah, we'll be okay. Now go make some food make some extra for you." 

Katrina's POV

I didn't even see how small I had gotten over the three months, I looked horrible. The kitchen hadn't been harmed too badly, I decided on making lasagna. "Mikey I can't cook with you breathing down my neck like this." "Hehe sorry. I'll just wait here." After 5 minutes of having my back turned cooking all the boys were surrounding the makeshift kitchen. 

"A dog must bury his bone before he can fully enjoy it." I felt the boys back off and start watching TV. One didn't leave, "What do you think we should do about this?" It was Leo, he had been asking me about hearing Shredder earlier. "Do what Master Splinter says and cross our fingers." "I was thinking the same thing, should we tell everyone else the plan?" 

I turned around after feeling someone's stare, at the same exact moment Raph turned his head back to the TV. "Yeah, we should now so they won't be as mad for keeping them in the dark." 

Once the boys were done eating Leo stood, I grabbed Raph's hand and leaned into his ear. "Promise not to get mad okay?" "Not making that promise." "Raph please." He shook his head, I sat back in my seat and rolled my eyes. 

"Well, as you can see Shredder is back. I well not only did I but Katrina did too. We had a feeling the Shredder she 'killed' wasn't the real one." "WHAT?! YOU HAD THIS FEELING THE WHOLE TIME AND DIDN'T TELL US?!" Raph stood from his seat and smashed his fist on the table, he gave me a dirty look but sent daggers to Leo. 

"Raphael sit now." He sat down slowly listening to Master Splinter, "What is your plan, Leonardo?" "We attack him at his weakest moment." "And when is that oh fearless leader?" "Raph hush please." After giving me another dirty look he shut his mouth, Donnie spoke up. 

"When is this weak moment anyway?" "I was thinking I could finally end my run with someone I believe he cares dearly about. He tried to take away Katrina so we take away Karai."

*DREAM*

I was being pinned to the ground, who would do this to me? Someone that had hated someone I loved. I stayed strong, crying but silent. My femur was broken and I wanted to cry out in pain but didn't. A man in armor put a foot on my face, "So pretty, yet so stupid." He kicked me in the head, struggling to keep my eyes open she spoke. "You shall die." 

Leo stabbed the man in armor leading to him falling off a high rise with a water tower on top of him. Behind Leo, however, was a girl I knew, I didn't know her but I had seen her. "Karai!" I tried to get up but was held back by someone, "As much as I hate her too, it's his fight." It was Mikey, he was holding me steady as the other brothers were finishing their fights. 

I crossed my fingers for Leo, I had seen Karai fight and she seemed angry. On his finishing blow, Leo halted, "I'm going you one last chance to change Karai." As he walked away I shook my head getting pulled onto Raph's back. 

He should've just killed her. 

*END OF DREAM* 

I took a huge breath in opening my eyes quickly, I was in Raph's arms on the floor. "Katrina what did you see?" Master Splinter helped me to my feet, "Leo we can't go after Karai." "Why not?" "We just can't it was petty of them to come after me, fight Shredder head on that's what a ninja does right?" I saw him mull it over and he nodded. 

"So now what's the plan?" I hadn't heard Mikey the entire conversation, "We go after Shredder, but no one else. We need to get into his office and attack, we can't have foot ninjas slowing us down." 

The boys agreed to this plan, Raph took me to our room and laid me down. "I'm sorry Raph." He sighed, "Don't keep stuff from me okay?" He took his sais out and got in the bed with me, "I love you Raphie." "Don't call me that." I laughed cuddling to his tighter and his arms got tighter around me.

We could do this.
