April O'Neil Ch. 11

Leo's POV

Once Mikey and Raph arrived Splinter had us meditate for a good hour until the sound of Mikey's snoring disrupted us. Splinter sighed and canceled training, he was still stressed about our kidnapping. Donnie's phone rang, I expected it to be Katrina. "Hey, April what's up?"  

I nudged Mikey awake, "Did you sleep last night?" "No..... I was looking stuff up". What was he looking up exactly?  

"Hey, guys April should be here in an hour or so." "Alright good thing the place already looks clean."

Katrina's POV

I stayed home cleaning some more deprecating junk and donation piles throughout my apartment when my phone began to ring and I saw it to be Donnie. "Hey." "There's a friend I want you to meet," It was Donnie, "I can't I need to finish cleaning. Tell them I'm sorry." "You'd really like her." Her? Hopefully, she doesn't try anything, 'Damn already getting defensive.' "I'm sorry Donnie I'm not moving." 

Sighing while entering my room from the kitchen I saw my balcony door was open. 

"Hands up little lady." Turning around I saw a large man with a purple tattoo taking up most of the skin on his right arm. I put my hands up, "If you want money you'll have to rob someone else." "I don't want your money. I want the skin of your boyfriend." "He'll kill you." The man laughed, "He hasn't yet, tell your 'family' the Purple Dragons are onto them and if they don't follow our orders we'll take them and you down." 

The man grabbed my neck, "Go to hell." "Already there." I blacked out.

Raphael's POV

She wasn't picking up her phone, she always picks up her phone. "Guys I'm going to check on Trina." "Stop worrying Raph, she's fine." Leo's comment didn't help. "I'll come with you Raph." Donnie got his staff, "Thanks."

We crossed the rooftops slowly since it was almost noon, right as Katrina's apartment came into view I saw something was wrong. I pushed myself and landed on her balcony. I saw her body on the floor, she wasn't moving. "Katrina!" I tried shaking her awake, "Donnie what the hell is wrong with her?" "Oxygen deprivation, she's coming back. Whoever did this isn't far off." "I'll go get them!" 

"Raph." She was waking up, "Who did this to you?" I pulled her close to my chest, after some deep breaths and Donnie doing some doctor stuff she answered me. "A man told me to tell your family that the Purple Dragons were coming for you guys." "What did this man look like?" "A bodybuilder, he had a buzz cut but had a rat tail." I looked at Donnie, "Do you think it's him?" "Yep." 

Katrina tried to stand but fell right back down, "Stop, don't push yourself." Donnie left the room to contact Leo, "Raph who are these people?" "They're a low life gang, Hun was Shredder's assistant, along with his daughter Karai. Every time we thought we had defeated Shredder, Hun went back to the Purple Dragons making them stronger." 

Donnie walked back into the room. "You are not staying here." Katrina sighed, "Donnie's right, they know where I live." Donnie headed back to the lair. I didn't let Katrina out my arms, "Raph-" "I'll save you this time. I promise."

Katrina's POV

Would it ever stop? This time I could keep up with Raph as we ran across rooftops, I was filled with rage. These men think they can come into my home and hurt not only me but threaten to hurt the one person I loved most? I would no longer tolerate this. Once at the lair I saw everyone was waiting for me and Raph, there was a red-haired girl standing next to Casey; it was that same girl that told me when Raph was coming to my apartment the day we were attacked. 

I walked straight to Splinter, "I'm so sorry Master Splinter, I will try my best not to be a burden on your family." "No worries my child. You are always welcome."
