Kayla POV:

"Amanda I really don't understand why going to this tour is such a big thing! It's just a bunch of teenage boys like you and I!" I screamed down the hall to Amanda who at this point was probably working on her hair.

Amanda is my best friend, and she's the most amazing one I could ever ask for. She just got a new job at this froyo place about 10 minutes from our house and used her first paycheck to buy a pair of 'MAGcon' tickets? I think that's what it's called? I'm still a little unclear on what the whole thing is, but when she offered for me to go I couldn't turn her down, especially after she showed me this super cute boy who was apparently part of it, Shawn.

Anyways, let me back up a bit. During our middle school years we went to school with this boy, Cameron Dallas. You might know him? Well, We weren't exactly the type to hang out with him day and night, but Amanda always tried to tutor him at lunch or talk to him in gym. He was extremely popular and we were... extremely not. It wasn't like your cliche nerd girls and jock boys though, he wasn't rude or arrogant, and he didn't seem to think he was better then anyone else either. He overall seemed like a really sweet kid, Amanda and I just never had the balls to go and ask him to hang out.

Him and Amanda were in the same gym class and whenever the class played basketball he always picked her, not first, but not last either. Even though she didn't fit in with the popular crowd, I saw the way they looked at each other and I always thought something would happen between the two, but we all set out on our seperate ways after junior high. Amanda's mom and dad moved out of the country on buisness and she moved in with my mother and I until about two weeks ago when we just bought our very own apartment! She never saw Cameron again until.... Vine.

He got so much older and his voice got so much deeper, which made Amanda fall in love with him all over again. I thought he was cute, but I was never really into him.

By going to this convention i'm really hoping Cameron will recognize her and maybe they can really BE friends or something more. Well, now that you know a bit about Amanda, let me introduce myself.

I'm Kayla, i'm 15 and I live in the 'Sunshine State', we're far away from our hometown in Cali, but starting fresh seemed like the best thing to do. My life most of the time is either uneventful or hell, which is pretty funny considering I live about a half an hour from 'the happiest place on earth'. Orlando is pretty busy and when it isn't... no it always is. I love kids, but hundreds of them screaming and crying to see Minnie and Mickey isn't exactly my definition of adorable.

Lets see, school is... well school. My weekdays are filled with late or sleepless nights due to the constant studying or nervousness for tests.

I learned the hard way that there isn't necessarily enough time for boys. I tried to make it work once and it ended up backfiring in my face. Long story short, who I thought was my first love.. wasn't.

Brandon and I's relationship was nothing but lies on top of lies, I gave him so... too many chances and every single time he proved to me that I made a mistake by forgiving him. It didn't help that I was constantly out of town either. I had an young learners class at a dental office a couple towns over because I was planning to attend 'Harvard University of Dental Medicine' right after I completed my undergrad, so I am earning my way to an internship to add to my application into Harvard. This gave Brandon continuous opportunities to cheat... which he definitely took up.

It's been about 2 months and we occasionally see each other walking the halls, when we do we exchange awkward but comforting smiles. I'm kind of glad we aren't the kind of ex's who try to torment each other every chance we can, it makes me feel a little more content with our break-up.

"Kayla! We're gonna be late if you don't hurry up!" Amanda whines impatiently.

I sense a bit of nervousness in her voice so I rush to gather the rest of my things and shove them quickly into my brown shoulder purse. Credit card, drivers license, ticket, cash for parking, Iphone, vlogging camera... okay, got everything. "I'm coming girly!" I yell in sort of a sing-song way.

I jog down the stairs, missing a step, but catching myself just before I would've fell. When I reach the bottom of the stairs I hear the car keys jingling in the kitchen, I walked in there first noticing how beautiful Amanda looked.

Her light brown hair was straightened with a white flower crown gently resting on top, her outfit consisted of a white floral printed strapless dress, a black cardigan over top, and a pair of black sparkly sandals. She had on white pearl earrings and a necklace to match, my best friend always looked good, but now she looked perfect.

"Close your mouth! If I want Cam to notice me I have to look somewhat decent!" she said trying to sound nonchalant.

"First of all, you always look beautiful, secondly you don't look "decent" you look HOT." I included the finger gestures when I said decent.

"Stop it, i'm blushing! Just kidding don't stop, you know how much I love compliments!" she said with a huge grin on her face.

"If you have everything i'm ready when you are." I said returning a smile.
