Kayla POV:
"Why you gotta be so rude, don't you know i'm human too?" Shawn and I sang to the tune on the radio.
"So are we picking the other boys up or are we meeting them there?" I asked as I moved my head to the last notes of the song.
"They're gonna meet us there, but we have to try and stay out of sight if we can, because our mgmt isn't gonna be there for an hour." Jack said while looking at the road signs before making a hard left.
Shawn and I were just hanging out in the backseat, hand-in-hand, and staring into each others eyes. His features were so beautiful that my eyes could stay locked in place all day long. Jack plugged his phone into the mp3 jack in the car, clicked the windows down, and turned the volume all the way up. If we would've gotten a dime for all the weird stares and head nods we got, we would've been rich, well they would've been richer then they already are.
I couldn't stop thinking about calling my mom and telling her that I was back, she used to call me every night, then it turned to once a week, and then a couple times a month.. so I had no idea what I would say to her when I did decide to call.
We came to a big bridge that took us across huge bodies of deep blue water and tons of actual bodies covered the sands of the beaches. As we drove closer I was kind of reminded of the Jersey Shore or a fair type place.
It was like a boardwalk full of little beachy shops and fair-like games, but what I looked most forward to was the giant ferris wheel. They always seemed so romantic and at night Jack said they always set off a fireworks display, I was desperately hoping that Shawn was atleast a little interested in riding.
"Parking is always ridiculous here, not looking forward to it." Jack sighed.
"You guys don't have like some sort of special VIP parking?" I laughed.
"We aren't A-List Celebs.." he joked.
"You're right, because then we would be riding in a stretch limo." I joked back.
We had finally found a parking spot and unloaded the beach towels and beach bag from the car. First, Shawn went to find the boys and set up the canopy, beach towels, and cooler, I wasn't too thrilled about that so I forced Jack to stay back with me and walk around the shops.
"That is the ugliest hat i've ever seen." He laughed as he stared at the giant tan floppy sunhat I tried on. "This one might be better.." he said seriously as he handed me a hot pink flamingo hat.
"I do look cute in everything." I flipped my hair and laughed. I had brought my polaroid so I got some strangers passing by to take some quick pictures of us as we were walking.
There was one with us in matching sunglasses and rainbow mohawks, flexing our muscles of course.
Oh, and another with me wearing pearls and a tiara and Jack on his knee's bowing down to me..
But my favorite one was of him and I at the ice cream parlor. I had accidently gotten some ice cream on his cheek and so he smashed some of his onto my nose, and in the picture his lips were planted on my cheek and I was in the middle of smiling and laughing.
I was having so much fun and we were stopped by many fans that of course, I seemed to lose track of time. We gave Shawn a call to find out where he had stationed the tent and where the rest of the boys were.
He said that they were all lying down tanning and gave us directions on how to get there from where we were.
I wasn't good with directons at all, so I left that all up to Jack and thank god I did, because we ended up where we were supposed to.
Shawn, Matt, and Cam were in the water frantically splashing each other when we walked up, they seemes to be completely oblivious to the fact that we arrived.
I got ahold of the beach ball that the boys brought and began to toss it back and fourth with Jack.
It got pretty "intense" when we decided to play for points so we both tried to stay serious, but as hard as we tried we couldn't keep from laughing.
Since he ended up winning, the bet was that he got to dunk me into the water. One arm slid behind my back and the other underneath my thighs, while having me bridal style, he quickly shuffled his feet through the rippling waves just to dunk me under.
As caring as he was, he rushed the pick me back up to make sure I was okay, "Are you still breathing, Bradley?" he called to me as I brushed the water away from my eyes.
"Yes, Gilinsky." I replied just before he dunked me again.
"You totally deserve that!" he cackled and repositioned me back into bridal style.
"You can't call me by my last name if you don't wanna be called by yours, jerk!" I called out.
I guess a mixture of the hard-hitting waves and Jack's terrible balance and coordination, his foot slipped and we both fell under, but my body didn't disconnect from his arms. He pulled us out of the water before pushing my soaking wet hair from in front of my eyes.
"Whoa, I never realized how beautiful you are.." he spoke in such an intrigued tone.
"I never realized how beautiful you are.." I spoke back without realizing a word I said. "I mean how beautiful your eyes are, such a...pretty..brown?" I laughed harder then I had in a while and he laughed back.
"This is the part where we would kiss.."
