Debt and Debtor

We owed a debt we couldn't pay,

For all of us have gone astray;

Ev'ryone going his own way.

We lived the night like it was day.

Although we were still ever low,

Christ paid a debt He didn't owe.

Mercy, grace, and love He bestow

For everyone here below.

The debt we could not pay was paid.

because Jesus came to our aid.

All of our sins on Him was laid,

And it's broken, the barricade!

To grace, we are great a debtor.

Let God transform you for better.

To God, let's give praise and honor

Here in this life and forever!

People! Repent now and accept!

Christ, our Savior—our sins He swept!

Believe on each of His precept

and all His commandments be kept!

Hi there! So I was inspired during my devotion to write this, because I was reminded of God's grace to each and everyone. I hope those who read this will be reminded as well of God's love!
