CHAPTER 4

Ivy's POV:

"Hey Ivy," Tina said as she walked up to her locker that was right next to Ivy's on Wednesday and opened it to reveal the amazing decoration on the inside. "Hey," she replied. Tina took out a flyer from her locker and waited for Ivy to close her locker until she spoke. "Ok, so you know how you dance and you know how I've never really seen you dance, which is really crazy cause like I bet your awesome and I don't know what you're worried about," She said the last sentence really fast that she had to stop and take a breath before continuing. Ivy wasn't sure if she wanted her to because she had a sense that this was one of Tina's apparently totes awesome cures for shyness- which never actually worked. "Anyway, there's this club that just opened like 2 weeks ago in the city and it's a dance battle club. Real dance battles happen there and since you would love to see it happen I thought I could finally attempt and win at dragging you with me to a club. The best part is no one from school will be there because it's just new and I don't think anyone's heard about it yet so you have to come and show me your stuff." She took a deep breath and looked at her expectantly with her large green eyes. Ivy started to think how the hell she ended up with someone like Tina. People loved her at school; it was hard not to love her cheery personality. Yet she knew how much they were alike and how much Tina was unlike the rest of the popular wannabes at this school.

They met in term two of Ivy's first year at KH and in Sydney. Their lockers were near each other yet Tina never even gave her a second glance when she came to pick up her books and trot off with her endlessly chatty friends. One day she was in the art classroom drawing her 'trashy masterpiece' as she called it on lunch, when Ivy came in to pick up her equally horrible creation, wanting to finish it at home. She was surprised that Tina had taken time off on lunch to finish it here and wondered what she had told her friends she was doing. Ivy came in quietly, grabbed her painting and was about to head out the door when Tina said, "Hey can I get your opinion?" she pivoted to the side and raised her eyebrows not sure if Tina was talking to her- of chorus there was no one else in the room unless she was delusional. She walked over and looked at the girl's painting intently. When she laid eyes on what Tina had created she had to place her hand over my mouth to keep from laughing. It was almost as bad as her painting. "It looks like," Tina started.

"A retarded platypus," they both said at the same time. She never intended to say anything, just nod. It had come out in a moment of thoughtlessness. Tina turned and faced her and they laughed. They stayed there the rest of lunch talking and that was the first day she actually felt content in a long time. They weren't friends in secret. Everyone knew of how close the two girls were yet they always overlooked her. She had overheard two girls saying that she was a charity case, which was why Tina had befriended her. Ivy dismissed it just like she rolled off every other incident that might emotionally hurt her. She was pleased with herself feeling only minimal things. It was better that way.

Tina had been the ideal friend always trying to push her out of her comfort zone without any success. Except those other times didn't involve watching dance battles. "Yes!" she said in a moment of total excitement always wanting to see dance battles go on in real life. "Yay, this is going to be amazing, we'll work out details of when to go tonight," she rushed as the first bell rang to get to homeroom.

As Ivy walked off with a smile spread across her face and her heavy books in her hand she contemplated going to the club, being forced to dance and totally embarrassing herself. The laughing and pointed fingers; just like....

Suddenly her smile faded and she made a mental note to stay an observer and not a participator.

Harry's POV:

Today Harry had an interview before flying off to Sydney tomorrow. He was the last of the boys to go in and answer the questions asked by the reporter falsely. He walked into the room filled with lights and cameras. He flopped on his chair and nodded his head saying, "Hey," to the reporter. His black leather jacket sometimes became itchy and he hoped this wasn't one of those times. The Australian reporter with the hazel coloured hair and blonde tips greeted him. She wore a black business skirt, white buttoned top and red lipstick which complemented her tanned skin. "So Harry, your first three concerts in Australia were?"

"Alright," he replied bluntly. Actually they were amazing and the crowds of girls were huge and filled with energy. She went through more questions about the tour and asked about his favorite place in Melbourne. The only place that he had the time to visit was the coffee store because of his tight schedule so he told her that and she said that that was a shame. "Our Sydney shows are a bit more spaced out so I guess I'll have time to look around there," he said and decided that was too nice for his character so he added, "and see the lovely girls here in Sydney."

She laughed a light laugh and then said, "About that, I believe your single now?"

"Hopefully not for long," he winked at her and she laughed again. He was allowed to not cause much trouble with girls since they had enough publicity from the paparazzi in each country due to our tour. When they were on their 4 month break he had to be seen with 3 girls for the attention. That was the part about being the bad boy he hated most. He imagined his sister being with him and her slapping him across the face because he wasn't stable. Yet she knew why he was acting this way. The interview ended after another minute and he left to be with the boys.
