Chapter 3

Y/n pov

It was the next day I was looking out the window eating an apple I stole yesterday trying to think how to get to the palace gardens during mid day. Dalila was on my lap still sleeping " hey Dalila come on I have an idea" she looked at me confused but jumped on my shoulder anyway. I grabed one of my blankets and headed out. I made my way to my normal palace climbing place I looked around for guards the coast was clear I hooked my grappling hook and quickly started climbing and didn't stop until I made it to the roof and looked around for the gardens which wasn't hard to find I climbed down a bit still looking out for the guards Dalila was trying to position her feet right " Alright on the count of three we jump" Dalila was freaking shaking her head no." We'll be fine" I jumped pulled in my hook and used my blanket as a glider. I saw a tree and droped. I landed in a big branch " See told you" Dalila was above me in another branch clawing on to it for her life. I stood up on the branch and tried to pull her down " come on  
Dalila it wasn't that bad" I finally got her down and waited for mid day I ended up falling asleep.

*later*

"So who's this girl and when is she gonna be here?" I heard a girls voice.
" Mana calm down maybe she's busy atem did say that they met at night so who knows what she does in the day"
I looked down and saw two people down under the tree I was in. I looked over and saw atem I'm guessing waiting for me . I jumped down on the other side of the tree I snuck up behind atem and scared him again " you love doing that don't you?" He looked at me his hand on his chest.
"Yea cause your easy to scare"
He looked over to the people I saw under the tree.
"Mahad Mana come here I want you to meet my new friend The girl came running as the boy walked "Hi I'm Mana" she said holding her hand out I took it " y/n"  then the boy introduced himself "my name is Mahad it is nice to meet you y/n" Mana kept looking at me closely kinda creeping me out "what are you looking at?"
" I swear I saw your face before" then I started to worry.
"Where?"
"Now I remember your the girl that's been giving guards trouble how do you get away from them?"
" I know the town like the back of my hand"
"Pirnce atem is this really the girl that you meet"
"Yes" Mahad gave me a questionable look which I don't blame him a Theif around the Prince if I was him I wouldn't trust me either but we had fun talking and playing around I would hide when a guard would come and check on them. I looked up in the tree and saw  Dalila looking around I whistled for her. She jumped down and quickly went to my shoulders " Aww she's cute" Mana said petting Dalila "her names Dalila she's been with me since my parents died I think we make a good team together" atem petted her as well " I don't see her much when we meet"
"Yeah she likes to hid around people she doesn't know she only comes out of the shadows is when I whisle for her that means it safe but I get so caught up in our conversations I forget I believe now she knows your okay" I said with a smile we heard atem' s name be called " I got to go see you guys later" we all said by as he disappeared into the palace the place I was scared to go inside " I should go too"
"What why?" Mana said sadly
"When atem s not around I don't feel comfortable her and I'm afraid the guards will find me so I'll see you guys later" and with that I headed home.

*7 years later*

"Well hello pharoh" I was leaning against the wall as I as atem on the balcony " it's good to see you again y/n where have you been" we hugged.
" oh you know stealing food running from guards the normal thing"
He sighed " I kind of whis you would stop doing that the guards already have a lot to do"
" unless you want me to be a slave theirs not much I can do I'm sorry" I walked over to the balcony looking at Egypt at night.
"You could work at the palace"
" nah look atem I know you want to stop the Theifs in the town but I'm not sure the people in the palace would like a Theif working there especially one that has a millennium item they'll think I stole it and who knows what will happen besides Im just a theif who steals a few fruit not the type that steals gold and murders people I killed one person in my life and that was the man who killed my parents"
He sighed alright but I could try to tal-" i put a finger up to hid his lips silencing him "don't bother any why I should head home   Dalila might be getting worried " he nodded as I dissapered in to the night.
