Chapter 5

Atem pov

I woke up the next morning to someone shaking me I opened my eyes slowly adjusting them to the light to see y/n. My face heated up when I realized how close our faces were "u-uh y/n what are you doing here especially this early?"
"I was wondering if you were busy to day I know your the Pharoh now but I was wondering if you wanted to go around the market place with me" she put her hands up "and I promise I won't steal anything while we're out"
I raised an eyebrow "if I can you out will you keep you word"
"Yes"
"Alright I'll go talk to Seto and see if i-"
I started to get dressed turned around to see y/n rolling her eyes.
"What?"
"Why not break one rule and just sneak out do t bother asking I already know what he's gonna say 'no Pharoh I will not allow it your going out with a Theif and it's just you two no that's not gonna happen'" I chuckled at her little impression of Seto.
"Come on its just one day please I want to make it up to you for yesterday"
I rolled my eyes and smiled "Alright But if I get in trouble I'm blaming you" I pointed a finger at her.
"Fair enough now come on grab a cloak we have a few minuets until more guards come" I did as she said.
"Now how do you plan to get me out?"
"Simple" she pulled out her grappling hook "we climb down with this then climb over the wall"
"Will it work?"
"I don't know"
We were lucky her plan did work.
"I'm actually happy you said yes on coming"
"Something tells me this was a bad idea"
"Come on stop worrying it'll be fun" and it was we ran around looking at everything I noticed a few glares y/n was getting but she didn't care. Y/n had a big smile on her face which made me smile I never seen her this happy. She quickly ran up to me grabed my hand and we hid behind crates.
"Let's hope they didn't see us" she said looking over the boxes still holding my hand I felt my face heat up and quickly moved my hand looking down at the ground.
"Hey you okay"
"Y-yes don't worry"
She looked back over the crates then looked all at me.
"Come on I want to show you something" she grabed my hand again and headed out. We made it to a house that looked run down.
"What's this?"
"What I call home" I quickly looked at her as she walked inside.
"Come on I remember you wanted to see where i lived as kids so here it is" the bottom floor was completely destroyed I kept looking around as she lead me to the stairs.
"What happened here?"
"I don't know it was like this when I got here I ran away from my old house because it held to many bad memories so I lived here" we walked up stairs it wasn't as bad as the downstairs there were cushions and blankets neatly put in the corner paper and drawing by a hole in the wall covered up by curtains she moved them away and you had a view of the palace.
"The place you were scared of the most as a child is the view you grew up with"
"I was scared of it when I got close fearing I would get caught but far away I'm alright" I felt something rub against my leg and it was Dalila.
"I haven't seen you in awhile" I picked her up and walked over to the window next to y/n.
"You do know that you can come to the palace I could do something since you have a millennium item you-" she stoped me from continuing.
"I'll be fine like I said they won't want to work with a Theif". I went away from that conversation knowing she didn't want to and I don't blame her. I sat down by her blankets and she joined me. We talked for awhile that apparently I fell asleep on her shoulder the last thing I heard was " goodnight my Pharoh"

Y/n pov

I looked down at atem age who was asleep peacfuly on my shoulder were we really out that long? I made a bed for him and let him sleep I looked out the window smiling Dalila was just looking at me shaking her head "I'll take him back to*yawn*morrow" I made another bed and went to sleep next to him Dalila laid in between us.
