Platform 9 and 3/4. You've heard about but you are pretty sure no platform actually exist when you're standing in between 8 and 9. You glace around hoping to find some sort of sign that another wizard or witch is going through. Despite you asking your parents for help, they seem caught up in their own world, remembering the times of when they first step foot in this train station.
"Mother, Father, I don't think this platform exists.." You inform shyly. You hate to interrupt them but you also don't want to miss the train, as it might be an opportunity for you to make new friends of some sort.
"Now, don't be silly Y/N" Your mother hisses, and carries on talking to your dad. You sigh, not knowing what to do.
"M/N! F/N!" You hear someone shout your parents name, so you peek over your shoulder to see the Malfoys approaching.
All dressed up as usual.
While the adults are talking, you play with the hem of your shirt, twisting it around your finger trying to not get impatient.
"L/N." You look up to see Draco standing about a meter away from you.
"Malfoy?" You question what he wants without being too direct. You don't know Draco at all.
"Shall we go onto the platform?" He asks.
"There is a way to actually get on that thing?"
"Of course." He shakes his head a sighs. "It's not rocket science. I just know that they won't stop talking." They? Oh right, yours and Dracos parents. You guess older people tend to do that when they bump into their old friends.
"Yeah okay." You look back up to your mother and lightly tap her shoulder.
"Yes, Y/N?" She asks.
"We are gonna head onto the platform, as we don't want to be late." You mumble, regretting the idea of interrupting her conversation since she sounded irritated.
"Well, okay. Send an owl once the feast is over and you are in your dorm. And god help me, you better be in Slytherin."
Your whole family has been in Slytherin for decades, well, Slytherin and Ravenclaw. Your dads side of the family happened to mostly be in Ravenclaw, like your dad himself and your parents probably pray for you to keep the family tradition.
"Hopefully I am mother."
You turn back to Draco and he gives you a nod as if to say follow him. He quickly says good bye to his mother and father, and you can't help but notice that his mum was the only one to actually say goodbye to him properly. His father didn't seem to care.
"Aright, Let's go Y/L." He mutters.
You take your trolley and follow him, not exactly sure where he is heading.
Draco takes a peek over his shoulder and notices your very confused face and gives a small smirk before running into the wall.
Yes, a wall.
Oh you did, not trust this and became pale at the thought of maybe crashing. Closing your eyes, you take a deep breath and run. Gripping onto the trolley and looking straight ahead at the wall that appears to be getting closer to you.
Closing your eyes once more, you make contact with the wall then stop. You peek through your lashes but your eyes become wide with amazement as you see the sight in front of you.
A beautiful steam train that's labeled as Hogwarts Express.
"Congratulations, you made it. Do you want a trophy?" Draco's voice snaps you out of your little day dream.
"Oh, sorry I wasn't listening." You gave a nervous giggle at your little mess up of not paying attention.
His smirk only returns back on his face and he chuckles slightly.
"Do you like it?" He asks as his eyes set back onto the train.
"It's amazing.." You mumble, appreciating the beauty of it all.
"Alright, well I'm going to find a seat." And he walked off just like that.
You sigh in content and board the train. Attempting to find an empty carriage of your own, as you feel like being left alone for a while. You felt like you needed time to process all this. Once you find an empty room, you place your trunk next to you feet and glance out the window. Suddenly the carriage door opens and two boys make their appearance.
"Do you mind? Everywhere else is full." The red head boy asks. You do know him. He's a Weasley. You also know that they are blood traitors. And despite you wanting to make friends, you don't want to make friends with the wrong sort.
"Sod off, Weasey." You mutter, looking out the window again.
"Hi, I'm Harry, Harry Potter." Your face pales but you are quick to compose yourself and turn back around to them.
"I don't care. Please leave."
They are quick to shut the door and walk away, but you heard that Weasley boy mutter a few curses under his breathe.
The train eventually got to its destination and the next step was to use the boats. Fortunately for you, you also managed to find one without anyone else having to join you. It didn't take long for the boats too all arrive at a small island with a rather huge castle. You smiled in amazement and excitement.
Once we arrived an older woman with a pointy hat motioned for the first years to go into the great hall. "Now when I call your name, the sorting hat will be placed onto you heads at you shall be sorted into your houses." You couldn't help but admire the walls and ceiling and you made your way down the large room.
"Draco Malfoy"
The bleach haired didn't hesitate to sit on the stool, having that cocky smirk on his face. The sorting hat barely touched his head when it shouted Sytherin. His eyes made contact to you and he gave a small smile, before leaving to join the other Slytherins.
"Y/N Y/L." You nervously walked up the stage trying hard not to trip.
"Ahhh, a Y/L, It's been a while since I've seen your kind. You are very smart and compassionate like your Father. Yet strong and independent like your Mother. Oh? What's this? The forest wand? Interesting... I'll have to put you in....SLYTHERIN"
The Slytherin house was cheering as you shyly walked over and sat next to another first year with brown hair and chocolate eyes.
"Hey! I'm Parkinson. It's nice to meet you!" She beamed, holding her hound out for you to shake. You gave a small smile back and accept her handshake.
"Y/N L/N. Pleasure." You are not very big with formalities and hoped people would just called you by your first name.
"Let the feast, Begin!"
