It's lunch.. You think to yourself and mentally groan. Spending time with Draco could go both ways, and you hope that you can progress as friends. You overthink these things, obviously feeling like you're not good enough to be friends with someone like him. Yeah he's an asshole, but he's also very popular.

Collecting the book you are reading, you head out towards the lake. But not without bumping into Hermoine on the way out of the library.

"Y/L." She sneers.

"Why why, if it isn't my favorite little mudblood."

Her cheeks and ears turn red as she storms off. You chuckle to yourself, calling muggles that works every time. And that's when you realize that this is probably the reason why you have no friends.

You keep giggling while walking towards the lake, suddenly in a happy mood.

Eventually you make it outside, thankful that the weather seems to be on your side today. Not a cloud in the sky.

You get a glimpse of white fluffy hair on someones head and it doesn't take more than a second for you to notice that it's Draco. Of course, you know no one else with white hair.

Hesitantly, you make your way over to him. As you get closer he hears your foot steps and turns around to offer you a small smile.

You take that smile as permission to sit next to him on the edge of the dock, both you and Draco's feet dangling off the end of the wood.

"You came." He smiled.

"Why wouldn't have I?" You ask in curiosity.

"Just didn't think you would." He shrugs with a 'I don't give a crap' attitude. Which irritates you slightly, and makes you think that maybe Draco is feeling lonely.

"I had no reason to say no, Draco. I feel very privileged that you took time out of your day to send it with me." You state honestly, with a small tint of blush covering your cheeks at the confession.

He was silent for a moment, which obviously makes you think that you shouldn't have opened your mouth. You were about to apologize for making him uncomfortable but he bet you to it.

"You have no idea how much you saying that means to me, Y/N." He says as he stares off in the distance.

"We are friends, are we not? I was just being honest with you. You are worth more than you think." You reply while looking down at the water a few meters below you.

"Friends.." He trails off.

"Hmm" You hum in content.

You take this quiet moment to take note of his features. Study his face. He's not an ugly guy, if anything he's decent looking.

Suddenly his eyes dart to yours and you can't bring yourself to look away. His grey orbs staring right into yours.

After realizing that your eye contact with him has lasted what feels like a lifetime, you awkwardly cough and look back at the water ahead, blush completely covering you from head to toe.

"Are you alright? You're really red." He asks in concern.

"Oh! Ah- yeah. I'm fine." You chuckle nervously. But his features still stay worried.

"You don't look to good Y/N.." He carries on.

"Maybe I'm getting a fever." You make up in order to cover the real reason you turned into a tomato.

Suddenly Dracos' palm is on your forehead, checking to make sure your not too overheated. Which of course, makes you blush even more.

"You are pretty warm.." He states.

"I'm fine Draco." You smile reassuringly.

"I'll believe you this once." He chuckles.

----------

You go to sit at you normal spot at the end of the large table. You like it down here, you can eat then leave. Not having to talk to anyone since no one is down here. They all huddle into their own groups which suits you fine.

But today was different. You went to sit in your normal seat only for minutes later, Draco, Pansy and Blaise joined you.

"Oh hey.." You trailed off, confused as to why they are not where they normally sit.

"Hey Y/N!" Pansy greets in her usual happy tone.

Pansy and Blaise sit opposite to you, where as Draco sits in the spot next to you.

The three of them start up in a conversation you don't want to get involved in when you felt heated stares on you. You peek around the hall to land on the three golden kids sending you death glares. You simply raise an eye brow and are about to flip them off until someone snapped you out of your daze.

Draco was snapping his fingers in front of you face, attempting to get your attention.

"Yes?" You ask him.

"What's got you so out of it?"

"Oh nothing." You reply while glancing back at the trio, noticing how they are still staring at you and the others. This didn't go un noticed as Draco followed your eyes and saw who you are staring at.

But he simply gives them on of his 'looks' and they turn back around instantly.

"Woah, you'll have to teach me how you do that stone-face thing." You say in amazement and admiration.

"Ha, no way. It's my thing." He smirks, going back to eat his food.

"Oh. by the way, are you feeling better from earlier?" He asks.

"I'm perfectly fine Draco." You giggle. Giggling.. really...

Short chapter. I know. But I have heaps planned for the future of this story, so please be patient with me. Currently right now, there isn't much of a story line, but that will come, I'm just building it all up or some shit. Fuck knows, I'm just going with the flow (:
