"Let's see a doctor." Taehyung looked at Tiffany's bruised palm worriedly.

"Don't make me feel like I'm only five years old." Tiffany levered herself up.

Taehyung bit his lips. His hands were reluctantly hanging in the air. He wanted to help her, badly wanted to hold Tiffany's arms and take her to his scooter.

"You need to see a doctor." He murmured. "You hurt your hand and knee."

    "HONK! HONK!"

The green light was already on. They were standing in the way.

Taehyung looked at Tiffany seriously, "come with me." He took her hand.

Tiffany didn't want to be the object of hundreds pairs of eyes. She mutely complied to Taehyung.

None of them talked along their way to the hospital, but Tiffany secretly gazed at Taehyung's broad back. Something twinged her heart when she accidentally recalled one fine afternoon trip along the streets in Jeju.

.........................................................

Tiffany felt uncomfortable when a male nurse in the emergency room examined the bruises on her arms and feet. He asked if Tiffany had other bruises. She shook her head. The nurse asked if any of her body parts hurt. Tiffany was shaking her head, but then she remembered the nudge on her shoulder. She glanced at Taehyung who stood not far from her while biting his finger nail. Huh, a bastard would always look convincing. She told the nurse that her right shoulder hurt a little.

........................................................................

"You can leave me here. I'll take a taxi" Tiffany walked out of the emergency room without looking at Taehyung.

"No way. I'll drive you to anywhere you want."

"I don't need any of your kindness." She said coldly.

"Why are you so cold?" Taehyung frowned. "I am not the one who left Jeju without saying any words."

Tiffany returned Taehyung's gaze with a flat stare. "And I am not the one who cheated on his fiancee." The displeasure clear in her voice.

Taehyung gasped. "And you didn't even let me explain...."

"Explain what? That you've had a pretty fiancee and you are sorry that... That... " she choked up.

    "I'm not sorry-"

"It's even worse...." Tiffany shot a glare. And as if she had had enough of him, she strode to reach the exit.

    "Fany ssi!"

Both of them turned around. A handsome doctor in his thirties waved his hand at her. He walked toward them. "Did something happen? Are you okay?"

He could be wrong, but Taehyung felt that doctor's face shot a worried look. Taehyung narrowed his eyes. He disliked the way this doctor called Tiffany by her nickname. It sounded so intimate.

"Jo seonsaengnim." Tiffany warmly smiled. "As you can see..., I'm fine."

Dr. Jo squinted his eyes. He glanced at her elbow. "Is this bruise new? What happened? Did you get an accident?" His eyes leered at Taehyung suspiciously. "Your friend?"

Taehyung showed a sly smile. "I'm Tiffany's close friend. And you are..?"
"I'm dr. Jo. Jo Insung." He hailed Taehyung's hand.

"Ah," Taehyung looked at the man before him sardonically. "I wonder why Tiffany has never told me that she knew a good looking doctor around here." He leered at the girl who seemed to be annoyed.
