My eyes widened when he said that, did he just say he loves me?
"Whatever it doesn't matter anymore. I'm going out, I'll be home by 3."
He said under his breath as he trudged out of the house.

I felt like I was going to cry, he tells me he loves me then leaves me alone with our daughter.

I walk back to the living room where Anne was standing with her stuffed toy rabbit clenched in her arms.
"Are you and daddy fighting again?" she asked, a slight shaking in her voice.
"No sweety, were just having a...discussion." I replied, knowing full well it was a lie.
I promised when I had Anne that i wouldn't lie to her, that I wouldn't become my parents, and now that's all I ever seem to do.

I walked back to the kitchen. I opened the refrigerator and pulled out some vegetables and chicken. I made some food for Anne and I, because only god knows when Dally is going to get home.

After dinner, I took Anne to her room and tucked her into her small bed, I kissed her forehead before turning on her nightlight and shutting off the ceiling light.
I walked back to my room and laid in the cold bed that didn't feel like mine anymore.
------------------------------------------------------
When I woke up Anne still wasn't awake, which was unusual but not completely unheard of.
I pushed the blankets off of me and went into my closet. I pulled a light blue dress off of the hanger along with a thin black jacket.
I got dressed and went to wake up Anne. I gently shook her shoulder and her eyes slowly opened. "We have to go shopping, Anne. Come on." I spoke softly.
Anne practically jumped out of bed. She ran to her dresser drawer and pulled out a princess costume. I honestly didn't have the energy to argue with her over her outfit.

She put it on and soon we were out the grocery store. Anne sat in the small seat at the front of the cart while I pushed it around.

While I was looking at different types of cheeses a voice that I barely recognized said to me, "Hey, Darienne. I never thought I'd see you again after you got with that greaser. Thought he would be smart enough to move you away so I couldn't steal you again."
I turned around to see blond hair, hazel eyes, and an award winning smile. Ashton. My ex-boyfriend from when I was 16 was standing infront of me.

"I thought you moved to New York to be a neurologist." I spoke slightly saddened by the way he broke up with me saying he was moving to New York.
"Well, Allen wanted to move back to his home town two years after we left." He said gesturing to his son, the same boy that worked at the daycare.
"Is he the little, goofy looking 12 year old that you pay me to babysit?" I asked.
"Yeah. Then you called me Ash-master so loud the neighbors could hear." Ashton said.
My face heated up and went red.

I walked back to Anne and helped her out of the shopping cart. I then gestured towards her and spoke, "This is Dally's and my daughter. Her name is Anne." "Is that the one you got pregnant with and left me because of?"
"Oh, um yeah. Though the fact that your 11 years older than me is kinda weird."
Then he spoke again making me regret going shopping today, "Well as you know my birthday is next week, I was wondering if you would join me for dinner?"
Me being to awkward to tell someone no said, "Of course. There's no reason we can't still be friends."
