It's been two months since I found Inuyasha at the sacred tree of ages. I still get sentimental just thinking about it, that was the day I knew my life would change forever.
Our journey for of looking for the shikon jewel is still going as always, finding new adventures and making new friends along the way. Not to mention growing together and getting closer....so to speak. I wonder what will happen next next as we embark on the journey to search for the next jewel shard.
I sighed depressingly, as we walked a little ways through the forest and came across a village full of bustling people. It made me nostalgic and a little homesick because of how much it reminded me of Tokyo. I couldn't help but let out a moan.
" What's wrong Kagome?" asked Sango.
It just hit me that I sounded more depressed then I really was, I quickly dispersed the feeling and shook my head.
" Sorry, just thinking of home." I smile softly at her and she stares at me a little concerned.
Inuyasha rolls his eyes with an annoyed voice. " Maybe you wouldn't be so depressed if you'd stop going back home!"
I scough. " Well it's not easy, I have to make up medical excuses as to why I'm missing school so I can come here. Frankly my life there can't automatically stop when I want it too."
Inuyasha stops instantly and literally drops me off his back. I land on the dirt road hard on my butt. Wincing in pain I glare at him.
" OW what was that for?!" I yelled.
He turns around and stares at me frustrated. " Look, It's not easy for us having to wait for you! we have to give up our time of looking for the jewel shards just so you can go play back home....It's unfair to us!" he shouts.
Miroku and Sango stare at each other then at the both of us who are glaring deeply.
" So what's your point Inuyasha!" I yell back.
" My point is I'm getting fed up with having you complain or feel depressed because your not home!"
I stare at him furious....I wanted to tell him to sit....but that wouldn't change what he said. I simply stood up and wiped the dirt off my skirt.
" And where are you going? we're not done talking!"
I face my back to him. " It's pretty clear you've said what you've needed too."
I started to pick up pace and walked down towards the village, Inuyasha walking behind and everyone else was riding above on kilala. I was so upset that he would say something so careless like that. After making it to town Miroku did his little scamming and we got food and board. I didn't care to acknowledge Inuyasha and he just stared at me feeling a little guilty but you could tell he was mad.
The dinner was dead silent. Everyone ate awkwardly while I ate my food aggressively. Finally Inuyasha gained the courage to speak up.
" Kagome-"
I peered at him from my bangs then stood up excusing myself and starting to head to the door.
" Kagome wait!.....I just-"
" Inuyasha...." I turn back to look at him then I open the screen door. " Not now." Quickly I step out and close the door behind me. Everyone is silent and Mirkoku clears his throat subtlety.
" Your facing thin ice Inuyasha....I think you hurt Kagome."
Inuyasha ignores Miroku's comment and continues staring at the door worried.
(Somewhere miles away)
" Lady Kikyo, how can we ever repay you for healing our children of the village from the sickness that's been plaguing us?"
