Lost Memories

Chapter Five

We all decided to head back to where everyone else was, though I was a little hesitant, that Inuyasha guy carried me on his shoulder. I sighed from being so frustrated at the situation, yet I couldn't be to mad....I mean they did save my life after all.

It's already getting late, and we could see everyone else walking towards us. I notice the woman in with the boe wasn't with them, I sigh with relief.

" Hey, where's Kikyo?" asked Inuyasha.

" She said that her job was done and that she'd come by to see Kagome soon....just to check up on her." said Sango.

I stare at everyone as Inuyasha puts me down. " Now listen, we need you to stay with us. I promise I won't hurt you if you won't runway. Okay?" he states.

I stare at him for a long moment, then slowly I nod. " Fine....I guess I do owe you for saving my life...."

As he stares at me and turns around I stare at him confused, then Sango quickly pulled me onto Kilala.

" Hey!" he shouts.

" If you want to build her trust up to you, you have to take things slow....from now one she's riding with me until she chooses to ride with you." said Sango.

It only took a while till we reached a village that seemed familiar, but I couldn't remember where I've seen this place before. My head starts to hurt a little from the forcing memory. That's when I noticed an older woman dressed in the same clothes as that one lady...Kikyo was dressed as. Staring at her and studying her, she stared at me and smiled softly, slowly I smile and wave a little. Just to be friendly anyways.

" Ah. I see you've all returned. It's good to see! and I can also see that Ye and Kagome aren't quarreling like usual." she said with a smile.

Miroku rubs the back of his neck. " Well, you see....some things happened on our way back...and well..."

I slowly walk up to the old woman and bow respectfully at her. " It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Kagome Higurashi. And who might you be?"

She stares at me confused for a moment, quickly catching on she answers, " I am the Priestess of this village, Kaede."

Kaede smiles wearily, nodding then sending me into the hut after telling me her name. As I disappear into the hut Kaede turns to face the others.

" What is wrong with Kagome!?"

Giving everyone a stifled look, Sango tried to speak up. " Well, you see Kagome was captured by this Dark Priestess named Nariko."

" She was originally from the sacred jewel in Kagome's body but, was then sent out of her body thus, she took form as her and tried to harm Inuyasha." added Miroku.

Kaede listened closely. Continuing on, " The scary part was when they both faced each other........for a little while she was...." Shippo couldn't finish his sentence.

Koga rolls his eyes. " She died. That Nariko chick stabbed her badly enough...that she died."

Kaede starts to turn pale. " Kaede?" asked Miroku.

" Maybe you should sit down." insisted Sango. Slowly they lower her down on a step that leads up towards the shrine.

" I need your word on something.....is she of the dead like my sister Kikyo?" she said with her voice shaking nervously.

Inuyasha shakes his head. " No. It's nothing like that, she just.....started to breath and woke up like she was out of deep sleep. I mean she forced Nariko out of her body and then purified her-"
