Chapter Two

( In Naraku's Castle)

" Things are going to get very interesting."

Kagura walks to him slowly with her arms tightly across her chest.

" But haven't your other attempts to take out Kagome, all end in failure?"

Naraku glares at her and grabs onto her heart tightly. She moans in pain and he realizes it.

" Do you dare say that I can not match up to Kagome's spiritual powers, or Inuyasha's strength?"

Kagura shakes her head. " No. Not at all Naraku."

" Good. Because if you were.....I would've crushed your heart in the palm of my hands sending you into oblivion."

Kagura stares at him with a hint of fear and anger.

How dare he stifle my own life and call it his own.....I swear I will get my reward once you disappear from this earth.

Naraku eyes the  hand mirror he holds and smiles big. " Kagura, what if I told you that I could create a demon from a human?"

She eyes him confused. " I don't understand what you mean."

He holds up the mirror. " Inside this mirror, is a hidden demon known as the Dark Priestess, she dwells in this mirror and can only be brought out of the mirror by a certain incantation... Let's just say that, once Kagome's alone I will use the power of the dark priestess and my own power to hold her down, that's when I will take possession and thus, create a demons heart in her soul. Something she cannot reject. It's so simple."

" And how do you plan to take possession of her soul?"

" By how the prospector did it. Just with a little of my personal touches." He grins a little bigger.          " Soon, soon my daughter Nariko will be born.....soon."

( Back at the village)

Slowly I opened my eyes not realizing that I was brought back in the room by someone. The only person I could think of would be Inuyasha. I stare at his sleeping figure and a small smile plays across my lips. I looked out towards the sliding door to notice that the sunrise is beginning, I quickly get up and make my way towards the porch where the open yard was.

Breathing in the fresh air made me feel a little more refreshed, I slowly walk towards a post and lean against it as I watch the slow sunrise. It's still a little dark outside, but light enough to see some things...trees, flowers, animals, a little girl walking towards the river....

My mind freezes and I look back at where the figure was. " She disappeared." I whispered to myself.

That's when I heard a little girls laugh. I looked about again, and listened closely then I saw the figure. She looked so cute in her pink and purple kimono. Quickly she smiled and waved at me to follow her.

What should I do? If I wake up Inuyasha and it's really nothing he'll let me have it.....but what if something happens to that little girl and I didn't do anything about it......

Finally I decided to follow her, on the caution that I bring my boe and arrows with me as a precaution. Quickly and quietly I shut the screen door shut and sprinted across the open area towards the forest  where the little girl was going. She moved pretty fast, to the point I almost couldn't keep up with her.

" Wait! slow down I can't keep up with you!" I yelled out to her. But she didn't answer back. Quickly I moved about the area searching for the little girl. I hope she's okay, was all my thoughts could muster up at this point. When I stopped in an opening , there stood the girl giggling.
