Lost Memories

Chapter Eleven

As the sun begins to rise early in the morning I could tell that I hadn't slept last night just by the fact that I didn't even close my eyes to sleep. It's because of this stupid curse Nariko put me under....

Without hesitation I started to get up and quickly headed to the main room where Nariko was residing with the two demon dogs. I quickly sheathed my sword and opened the door to reveal not only Nariko but....Naraku himself.

I gripped my sword tightly without realization. Why does this man make me so angry that it burns me to the core?

" Ah, I see that you ditched that lowly human Kagome?" he said in a crude tone.

Nariko sneered at the man. " Naraku, that is Kagome. Has she really changed that much?"

The man stands and I start to back away until I couldn't move, It's as if my feet were stuck to the floor. The figure got closer, and closer until finally he stopped right in front of my face.

" Well now....is she a half demon? .......with the white hair it's really interesting."

I roll my eyes at him. " And what brings you here so suddenly?"

He smirks devilishly before turning to face Nariko and I. " I'm sad to say that soon your hiding place will be discovered by that half mutant Inuyasha and his friends soon enough."

Nariko doesn't move or say a word for a long moment. Her face still looks calm and collected but in her head she was spouting off. And I didn't think fast enough after I said something about it,

" Inuyasha....is coming here?" I say in a low voice.

Nariko looked up sharply, as did I. She was so pissed off that she started to walk to me as I started to cower in fear....I knew she would take all my memories and leave me nothing left now.....

Quickly she grips my head and forces my eyes to look into her's, when I do I stare into them feeling the loss and regret...the pain and suffering that we both have shared and that's when the pain in my head started to get worse.

" Ow....Ow! Nariko I'm sorry I didn't realize-"

She grips my head harder. " You knew what I said if this happened once more! you must now take your punishment!"

" No! NARIKO!" I shouted, then with everything gone I started to pass out from all the strength she took from me.

My body falls to the ground and I lay there motionless for a moment until she touches my head again.

" I shall implant new memories. And your first one will be of Inuyasha betraying you!"

Suddenly a memory started to form and I saw it....I watched as Inuyasha held that woman in his arms so tenderly that it hurt me...how he let me get hurt while he tried to save that woman....and now he betrayed me to get the sacred jewel shards.....

I could feel my heart racing as I started to get furious. When I sat up and slowly got to my feet Nariko smiled evily at me before playing with a strand of my hair.

" Now....your name is Kagome...."

I start to repeat. " My name is Kagome."

" And your mission......kill Inuyasha....kill his friends...."

I look up and grip my sword with a dark smile. " If that is my duty....I shall do what you have asked....my lady..."

She smiles softly. " That's my girl..." she looks to Naraku. " See, everything will be taken care of...now all we need is are enemies to arrive soon and we can have some fun!"
