Prologue

"Run!!! Run!! Bella Take the damn child a run!!!"My father Blaine yelled.

My mother scooped me up in her arms and ran. As we left my father I could hear the growls and snarls behind us.

Tears welled up and I started to cry hysterically, "mommy go back!!! Go back!!"

She growled at me tightening her hold as we ran for safety. I quieted down an looked up to see tears running down her face. As we made it past the pack borders into blood moon territory ,we were met with a line of wolves growling their teeth bared. I buried my face into my mother's chest an whimpered. She rubbed my back soothingly an growled back.

I heard bones snapping a crunching sound and the leaves rustle then a deep voice rang clear through the forest "why have you come here? "

My mother jutted out her chin "I wish to speak with your alpha. This is a matter of urgency"

He cocked his head to the side ," I am his beta. My name is Evan and whatever you wish to speak to my alpha about, I will tell him. So convey the message to me an I will make sure he knows.Then he may decide weather or not he wants to give you an audience ."

I heard my mother growl low in her chest with impatience ," Dammit I don't have time for this. I will speak to no other about my situation . I demand to see your alpha at once !!"

The whole line of wolves growled loudly at her , making her flinch. Suddenly, I became angry and wiggled out of my mothers tight grip and turned to yell at them waving my arms in the air, "Don't you big ugly dogs growl at my MOMMY!!! JERKS !"I turned to the one who spoke an took in his appearance . He was around 6'1 an had jet black hair with brown eyes. The more I looked at him, the more I wanted to yell and kick him . The man looked at me in amusement and walked over to stand in front of us. He smiled down at me , his eyes sparkling with mirth.

My mother snatched me up quickly an held me to her chest and growled lowly silently telling me to shut up. I looked back at the wolves to see them staring at him in bewilderment.

The mans clear voice echoed throughout the forest ,"what is your name child?"

I looked up at my mother who nodded . I turned my head to look at him ,"Leah.....my moms name is Bella."

He nodded an watched me curiously ," You are an interesting child little one "

He reaches up as if to touch me but my mother snarls and snaps at his hand , her Eyes turning a liquid gold color .Evan took a step back while he watched her wryly. He closes his eyes for a second and when he opens them he gives my mother an I an small smile, "The alpha will be here shortly "He turned on his heal an went to stand by his pack.

My mother nodded and looked down at me,  her eyes shinning with tears.I frowned at that and touched my hand to her cheek ."Mom?"

She hugged me tight against her chest and pressed her face into my hair ,"It's going to be okay." I nodded though I had no idea what she's talking about .

Suddenly my mothers head snapped up and she looked over to where Evan was, then bowed her head in respect.

Confused I followed her gaze and frowned. A man taller than Evan walked toward us and nodded his head at my mother, "Bella."

My mother looked up  at him, "Sam". It seemed as if an unspoken message had passed between them because he nodded and looked at me. I took that moment to take in his appearance. He had sandy blonde hair with pale blue eyes, almost grey. I looked back at my mother then at him. My mother stroked my back soothingly ," Leah. That's her name . she is four years old. Leah's birthday is July 1,2009.

Sam crossed his arms and looked at me critically, "She doesn't seem very smart." I frowned at him  and crossed my arms mimicking him, "Well, you don't look very smart either mister."

His eyes lit with amusement," Well maybe she is blood moon material." Surprised I stare at him, " What does that mean? I'm going home with my mommy an were going to go find my dad an help the pack fight."

His face became very drawn an serious," No little one you will not." I felt my mothers grip on me tighten and I winced ,"what do you mean?"

Sam sighed and closed his eyes muttering something under his breath. After a minute or two he opened his eyes again and held his hands out. I looked at him confused. My mothers hold tightened even more to the point where it was hard to breathe, then gently handed me to Sam.

Panic started to build in my chest as I realized what was happening, "Mommy.....don't leave me...please. Don't leave!!!"

Tears streamed down my mothers face an I knew there was no changing her mind . Shakily , she backed up slowly . I fought to get out of Sam's arms so I could go to her but his grip on me tightened painfully. I looked at my mother as a heart wrenching scream tore its way up my throat an out of my mouth. "MOMMY!!!!!!!! DONT LEAVE!!!"

My mother brought a hand up to wave goodbye as she whispered, "Goodbye my child I'll always love you." She turned an ran away....away from..me...she left me.....

ok I know I said I would upload the first chapter also but I'm not done with it sorry guys :(
