chapter 9

"Leah!!Leah! "I cracked my eyes open a little to see Zane leaning over me with a look of raw fear. I wanted to reassure him but I couldn't make my mouth form the words.

As my eyes drifted the shut ,the last thing I remember hearing was Zane's beautiful voice.

Darkness surrounded me and the pain slowly drifted away. I opened my eyes and gasped. All around me there was tress...dirt...earth. It felt like home. I felt like I belonged here. I looked down at myself to see that I was wearing a gold floor length dress that seemed to sparkle in the sun. I lifted my face up and closed my eyes as the sun bathed my face. I smiled and looked around. I never wanted to leave. I grinned and took off running. The wind blew my hair as I flew through the trees. A laugh bubbled up my throat as I dodged a tree and kept running until I came to a lake. My grin widened and I jumped in. I came up laughing and splashing. Suddenly I felt warmth and love wash over me. I turned to look around and standing there was the most gorgeous woman I had ever seen. She had long white hair that reached past her hips. It billowed out around her. She had stormy kind gray eyes that seemed to sparkle with mirth as she watched me. Her dress was a royal blue with grey sequences swirling around it.

Slowly she lifted her hand and beckoned to me."Come."

I ran out of the water to her and stopped in front of her.

She smiled, "hello daughter."

I frowned, confused, "daughter?"

The woman's eyes twinkled in delight and amusment,"do you not know who I am daughter?"

I shook my head. She smiled and took my hand and squeezed. She pulled me with her as she began to walk.

I watched her. Truth be told there was something familiar about her I just couldn't place it.

The woman locked elbows with me and patted my hand, "my daughter...I am the moon goddess."

My mouth dropped open and I stared at her, "beautiful mystical lady SAY WHAT NOW?"

The moon goddess through back her head and laughed. Her laugh echoed off the tress and spread around the forest.

She laughed so hard there were tears coming out of her eyes,"oh I do love when my children find out who I am. It's so entertaining."

I looked at the ground and muteered,"you just took me by surprise that's all...its not that funny."

The moon goddess chuckled at my disgruntled expresion,"oh dear I fear I have embarrassed you. I do apologize."

I shuffled my feet,"theres no need to apologize you are the moon goddess."

She smiled at me, "everyone should be able to apologize for making someone uncomfortable daughter. "

I nod and look up at her; once again I was awestruck by her beauty.

I shook my head to clear it, "if I may ask...what exactly am I doing in your realm?"

The moon goddess pulled us to a stop,"ive been waiting for you to ask. At this time right now...you are shifting into your wolf. You are a very rare breed indeed. You will find that your wolf will look very different from any other wolf you have ever seen. All the alphas before you in your bloodline will be mixed with your wolf. She will be very wise and she will guide you but there are some things you must learn on your own and she will not interfere unless it becomes imperative that she does. You are destined for great things my daughter. I have given you the mate that will help you. He will be of great use to you. You might have noticed but he is already halfway in love with you. But he is fighting it daughter. You and your mate will not come together easily. You'll face hard trails together that will threaten to break you apart but..you cannot give in.He is loyal to his coven but once he comes to fully love you he will chose you over them. You must finish the mating bond...but in due time...when the right time has appeared you shall know."

I frowned, "but-"

The moon goddess raised a hand, "you must go back now daughter. If you stay a moment longer your soul will be in peril. Goodbye...for now "

My eyes widened, "no no wait!"

The moon goddess smiled at me and waved her hand, everything stated to fade, "goodbye daughter."

Everything went black.

My eyes flew open as I went back into my body. The pain that seemed nonexistent came flooding back making me scream a window shattering screech. I became aware of someone hands holding me gently. I looked up to see the tress all around me . My vision blurred then came back into focus and I saw Zane and Sam leaning over me. My body twisted at unnatural angles and the cracks of my bones echoed in the forest causing both Zane and Sam to flinch.

My voice was raspy and broken with pain,"Sa-..What..Happening?"

Sam's hand ran over my head soothingly, "your changing ."

Zane growled, "why is she in so much pain? isn't this supposed to be a joyous event?"

Sam shook his head, "is it both joyous and painful. You will feel the joy later my darling when you become one with your she-wolf."

I try to nod but my body wouldn't go operate with me. Tears  leaked out of the corner of my eyes as my wrists broke and my finger bones shattered. The pain was so bad I couldn't even scream anymore. I closed  my eyes and wished with all my heart for this pain to go away.

CRACK!!!!!!!!!

My spine broke in half and my mouth opened and a half strangled scream came out of me. Zane's face of horror hovered over me.

Sam grabbed Zane, "move away. she's going to complete the change."

Zane hissed at Sam and snapped at Sam's hand, "I will stay beside her."

Sam growled and yanked him away from me. My body bent on its own accord and the rest of my bones popped into place. The sound of a million snapping bones echoed throughout the forest. My body rolled over till I was laying on my belly . I heard one final snap as my spine fit into place. Finally the change was done and I was exhausted.

I looked down at my hands..uh I mean paws and shakily stood up. I turned to Sam and Zane to see shock written all over their face.

Sam pointed at me,"I've ...I've never seen...."

Zane rubbed his eyes then looked at me again.

I growled, irritated that they were staring at me.

Suddenly a female voice spoke, "Hello"

My head snapped around and my eyes scanned every part of the forest that I could see.

"Leah."

My teeth snapped together in irritation as I couldn't find out where the voice was coming from.

The feminine voice sighed," Leah."

Surprised I froze.

"you know Leah its rude not to say hello."

I hesitated," uhhhh..hi"

I couldn't see her but it's almost like I felt her smile, "your adorable when your confused. Im so glad I got a pretty human. Cause you see I'm a gorgeous wolf and having an ugly human would be horrible."

I huffed, "well aren't you full of yourself."

She sighed, "do you still not know who I am, Leah?"

I huffed again, "no."

She rolled her eyes, "god your remedial. Leah ..I'm your wolf..my name is Ella."
