Chapter 2

"Fuck" I thought, " I'm going to get it now". As I made it to the door I swung it open and winced as the door slammed behind me. Everyone turned to look at me.

I sighed and mumbled, "Well......shit."

I knew Alpha Sam was glaring at me from across the room but I really didn’t want to meet his gaze. It's not that I’m afraid of him, quite the contrary actually. I just really hate it when he yells at me. I’ve always been the odd one out. I’ve always been different. We have over 600 people in our pack, so were pretty big. I was always getting yelled at by Alpha Sam. He has been a father figure to me ever since my mom abandoned me here. He's the one who helped me get past the pain from losing both of my parents. I knew he loved me as much as I loved him, even if he was tough on me at times.

I look up to meet his eyes and flinched. I quickly put my head back down and stared at my hands. Alpha Sam's eyes were pitch black. I could practically see his anger rolling off him in thick waves. I sighed inwardly and stuff the apple I had in my hand into my sweatshirt. Honestly, I don’t blame him for being angry. I am always late for pack meetings, but I really don’t see the purpose in them. We just sit here and go over unimportant things like whose birthday is coming up or who found their mate. Who wants to hear about that ?? I personally could care less. I don’t really want a mate , but if I found him I wouldn’t have a problem, I guess. I mean your mate is the one person who loves you unconditionally and the only person who can really make you happy. Blah...yea right!! That is a bunch of bull crap. Mates reject their soul mates all the time because they want to keep up their image. I don’t want to be hurt like that ever. I couldn’t take it and I would probably commit suicide.

I look back up at him and smile. Sam sighed heavily and shook his head. I smiled a little as I knew I would probably just get a light scolding. Sam’s voice boomed throughout the pack meeting house, “Well, how nice of you to join us, Leah.”

I grinned at him,” Yeah, I know right.”I heard people mutter disapprovingly around me and my grin widened.

Sam rolled his eyes and cleared his throat loudly holding back a chuckle, "Let’s get started. We all know that our pups are becoming strong men and women. The full moon is tomorrow night and they will change into their wolves for the first time and find their mates. They will also begin their training a few days after .I—“

He was cut off by the cheers and screams from the pack. Sam chuckled and waited patiently for the noise to die down and then he began to speak again,” Yes, yes I know very exciting, I know.  Suddenly, Sam’s face became dead serious causing me to lean forward in my seat in anticipation. I could tell it was something that was going to change everything around here…I could feel it.

Sam’s jaw muscle was ticking as he spoke, “We have news from the Moonlight pack. The Black iris coven is harassing them and killing off members of their pack .They have requested our help and we will give it. The Moonlight pack is coming here. They are traveling as we speak and should be here by nightfall. We are a strong pack and with both of us united we WILL NOT LOSE!!”

The pack roared with acceptance and I looked around at the faces of my pack and saw fierce determination on their faces. I smiled as pride swelled up in my chest. My smile turned feral as I thought about ripping into some vampire scum. This will be fun.

Sam's booming voice overpowered the voices of the pack and everyone quieted down as he began to speak again," This is the end of the meeting . You are dismissed...all except for Leah."

My pack members snickered around me and I groaned.I thought I got away with it.

Damn it! Sophia patted my shoulder as Sam walked over to me . She grinned at him, "Don't be to hard on her Alpha, she really really tried this time." 

Sam smiled at her and nodded. Sophia turned on her heel and walked of the pack house.

I looked up at him and smiled but my smile faltered a little as he scowled at me. I sighed and looked at the floor and mumbled,"Sorry, Alpha."

A soft growl rumbled in his chest and he sighed, "what am I going to do with you ,Leah?"

I grinned and looked up at him when I realized he wasn't going to yell at me, "love me."

Sam raised an eyebrow, "I already do that, sweetheart."

I shrugged, "Well,....that's about the only thing you can do." I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around his waist tightly and pressed my face into his chest. Automatically his arms wrapped around me . I looked up at me and raised and eyebrow, "So, you're not mad anymore?"

Sam shook his head,"I was never mad at you ,Leah, but I was extremely disappointed."

I winced and looked at his chest. I absolutely hate when he's angry with me ,but when he's disappointed its so much worse,"I'm sorry."

Sam kissed the top of her head,"I know honey." Sam stepped away from me and grabbed my hand . I squeeze his head tightly and he squeezes back. Then we walk out of the pack house...not as Alpha and child, but as father and daughter.

That's when all hell broke loose.

Sorry it took so long guys I've been kinda busy but that's no excuse ill try to upload more often promise!!
