I couldn’t see her but it’s almost like I felt her smile, “you’re adorable when you’re confused. I’m so glad I got a pretty human. Cause you see I’m a gorgeous wolf and having an ugly human would be horrible.”

I huffed, “well aren’t you full of yourself.”

She sighed, “Do you still not know who I am, Leah?”

I huffed again, “no.”

She rolled her eyes, “god you’re remedial. Leah...I’m your wolf...my name is Ella.”

I cocked my head to the side, "my wolf?"

Ella huffed in annoyance, "yes are you deaf as well as stupid? Jeez!"

I rolled my eyes,"oh shut up! I'm not an idiot. It’s just taking a while to sink in ...that's all!"

Our conversation was interrupted by Sam clearing his throat," Leah?"

I turn my body toward him to let him know that he has my attention. Zane comes out from behind him holding out new clothes. I try to smile at him though I'm sure it comes out looking ridiculous because they both crack a smile. I walk over to Zane and take the clothes from his hand into my mouth and walk behind a tree. I whimpered quietly as I changed back to my human body. I quickly put on the clothes that Zane gave to me and comes out from behind the tree. I paused for a moment and tilted my head. I smiled as I still felt Ella's presence.

Zane walked over to me with a worried expression, "are you in any pain?"

My voice cracked,"I'm fine. Just a little sore."

I look at Sam,"is changing always going to be this hard?"

Sam shook his head, "no  ...it'll get easier."

I sighed in relief, "Thank god because if I have to go through that every time I’ll kill myself."

Zane growled, “no."

I rolled my eyes, "not for real."

Zane glared at me, "you shouldn't joke about that."

I smiled, "so he does care for me. Go figure."

A blush stole its way unto Zane's face and my smile widened.

Sam chuckled," ok lets go back to the pack house. Oh and Leah?"
