Chapter 5~ Numere Wetlands

(F/N)'S P.O.V.
     As we all enter the Numere Wetlands, we cross paths with several different creatures who have already fooled several applicants. As I could tell the fog was getting thicker, so Killua suggested to move up, so that we can increase the distance between Hisoka to keep me safer away from him. Snowflake was quite interested in what was going on, so she stuck her head out of the backpack and showed her beautiful, sparkling blue eyes.
     "Kurapika, Leorio! Killua says we should move up!" Gon yells out to them, seeking for their voices to reply.
     "Hey, if I had the strength I would already be up there!" Leorio replies back.
     "Don't worry about us, we'll be fine!" Kurapika yells.
     "Okay then, if you say so!" Gon exclaims.
     "Gon, (F/N), lets go. I don't want to put our lives in danger."
     "Ok, lets go." I say.
    Kurapika's P.O.V.
    "Ugh, I can't even tell which way I'm going!" I exclaim as he continues to run through the thick fog as the rain pours down.
     "It's alright! As long as we don't lose sight of the people in front of us..." Leorio deepens his voice. A little while later, the people in front of Leorio and I disappear into the fog and mist, never to be seen again. We stop in their tracks.
     "Huh? What's going on?" I question. Soon enough, a whole group of people are behind Leorio and I, but...
     Floating strawberries surround us, very unnatural. A contestant walks towards the strawberry, and disappears, a huge monster appears out of nowhere and has the contestant inside of his mouth.
     This is going to be a LONG day.
     Killua's P.O.V.
     (F/N) puts Snowflake inside her backpack, and pokes holes on her backpack to make sure that just in case something bad happens, good call. Then we got back up and continued to run.
    "Yeesh, I can hear people screaming from all over the place." Gon says.
     "Yeah, make sure to keep your guard up." (F/N) replied. "We don't want you to die out here."
     Gon, (F/N) and I all stop in our tracks.
     "Huh?" I say in confusion. Then, the ground beneath us start to shake vibrantly. The ground splits and we all fall into the hole. A giant toad suddenly makes us enter its mouth.
     "UHH..." I mumble.
     "Hey, I have just the trick!" Gon exclaimed with a smile. Gon took out the expired juice from his backpack and opens the lid, then pouring the juice onto the giant toad's tongue. Suddenly, I was spit out by a giant toad, this doesn't happen every single day, ya know? Gotta enjoy the moments.
     "Eww... I have toad slobber all over me..!" (F/N) groans.
     "Well, at least your still alive!" Gon smiles.
     "Yeah, thanks for the help, Gon!" (F/N) smiles.
     "Yeah... anytime!" Gon blushes.
     I didn't want (F/N) to get too touchy with Gon, so I broke up the little 'thanking reunion'.
     "We should catch up with the examiner, lets go." I say.
     "Yeah, but I'm still worried about Leorio and Kurapika..." Gon protests.
     "Just forget about them, lets go!" I reply.
     "Killua... do you really think that's the right thing to do..?" (F/N) questions me.
     "...yeah, lets go. Gon, we're going." I say. I feel the knot of regret inside my throat, but I didn't want (F/N) to get into so much trouble...
      I care about her...
     Because she's the only person that I truly have in my heart. If I let her go, then there's nothing...
     Only the empty sound of raindrop falling on a puddle, creating an echo that lasts forever.
     Gon's P.O.V. 
    I follow (F/N) and Killua for a long minute, until I decide to turn back and look for Leorio and Kurapika. I am quite surprised that Killua is kind of heartless about others. As I look for Kurapika and Leorio, I am also aware of what creatures there are, such as Satotz~San said. I run into a certain large area with no trees, and I find Leorio, Kurapika and... Hisoka? And not only that... Hisoka was just about to attack Leorio..! I use my fishing rod and attack, it was a success, I managed to hit him on his right cheek, so now he won't be able to attack Leorio.
     "Hmm." Hisoka turns head to look at me. "That was quite a hit, little boy. Allow me to look that fascinating weapon you have." I grip to the fishing pole even tighter, and a drip of sweat runs down my forehead.
     "Your fight is with ME!" Leorio screams as he intends to attack Hisoka, but Hisoka does an undercut, sending Leorio flying out to a different direction. Then, I try attacking Hisoka and... he seemed to disappear.
    I will never allow Hisoka to hit one of my friends... EVER AGAIN!
    (F/N)'s P.O.V.
     Killua and I continue looking for the main people who followed Satotz~San and finally found them. That took a really long time.
     "Hey! We made it! Lets go (F/N), Gon." Killua exclaims with a sparkle in his eye.
     "Uh... Killua, I'm afraid to say this but, Gon isn't here." I replied.
     "Huh? Maybe he ran off to get his friends." Killua says.
     "What if one of hose awful creatures attack him, or Hisoka hurts him in any sort of way?" I question.
     "He'll be fine. He's tough, unlike any of the other examinees. Don't worry, (f/n). Gon will be okay. He'll eventually catch up with us," Killua smiles softly.
     My vision suddenly turns bright blue, which means my eyes have turned blue as well. "Killua... You worry about me too much. I can take care of myself." I say with a serious face. A tear comes down my face, crawling down to my neck. I hug Killua tightly, then let go after a few seconds.
     "I'm going after Gon to make sure that he's alright. He's risking his own life here." I continue.
     "(F/N), your strong, but... I don't want you to die..." Killua whispered softly. "I love you (F/N)..." Killua kisses me passionately, it reminds me when I kissed him at the school dance. His lips are in sync with mine, and this feeling...
    It will last forever in my heart.
     Killua pulls me away softly and mutters, "Do what you want... I'll be waiting for you at the end... capiche?" Killua winks at me.
     "Capiche." I reply. I kiss on the cheek and run away into the woods, in search of Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika. Even though I just met them, they seem to be such great friends. I don't want them to die... They just seem to have a full life ahead of them..!
     They're not going to die. Not under my circumstances.
