After we had taken Hermione to the hospital wing, we went back to the bathroom to take the cauldron back to me and Hermione's dormitory.

"What's this?" Asked Ron, as we were making our way down the corridor. "Let's see where this water goes."

We went down a corridor and it lead us to the girls bathroom.

"Looks like Moaning Myrtle flooded the bathroom," Harry said.

When we entered the girls' bathroom, sure enough, all the taps were running. Moaning Myrtle was sitting in the u-bend, singing and crying.

"Come to torment me?" Asked Moaning Myrtle.

"Why would we do that?" Asked Harry.

"Don't ask me. Here I am, minding my own business and someone thinks it would be a funny idea to throw a book at me!" Moaning Myrtle wailed.

"But it wouldn't hurt if something was thrown at you. Wouldn't it just go right through you?" Ron asked.

"How fun! Let's all throw books at Myrtle because she can't feel it!" Moaning Myrtle cried.

"Who threw it at you?" I asked.

"I don't know, I didn't see them. I was just thinking about death when a book went through my head!" she cried.

Then she flew off. Harry walked forward and bent down to pick something up. There was a black, wet book lying on the floor.

"What's this?" Asked Ron.

"A book, dummy," I teased.

"This must have been the book that Myrtle was talking about," suggested Harry.

"Let's take it back to the common room and have a look at it," Ron stated.

As we left the bathroom, that's when I heard it again.

"Let me rip you... kill you...thirsty...blood..."

"Harry, I can hear the voice," I said solemnly.

"So can I, let's go," Harry said before we both ran up to the common room.

"We left Ron," I said as we arrived at The Fat Lady.

Harry didn't say anything, he just looked at me then we both laughed.

"Password?" asked The Fat Lady.

"Batwings," said Harry, and the portrait opened.

While we were stepping through, a panting Ron came up behind us.

"You ditched me!" Ron complained.

Harry and I laughed.

"Let's go sit over there," said Harry, pointing to an empty table. Ron and I sat on either side of Harry as he opened the book. It was blank, every single page was blank.

"It's a diary," I stated. "With nothing written in it."

"It's probably useless. I'm going to bed, goodnight," Ron said as he disappeared up the stairs to the boys' dormitory.

"I've just got a feeling that there's something magical about this diary!" Harry said.

"Pass it to me," I said.

I flipped it over, revealing a name on the back.

Tom Marvolo Riddle

It was written on the back in gold.

"Look," I said to Harry.

"Tom Marvolo Riddle," he read.

"I'm going to go to bed too. I'm going to go to the hospital wing early to get Hermione. If you want I can stay out here with you though, Harry," I told him.

"No, it's fine. Goodnight, Charlene," Harry said.

"Goodnight," I replied as I walked upstairs.

As I changed into my pyjamas, I realised since it was only Hermione in this dormitory, I was alone tonight. I set my alarm for six in the morning and got into bed. I hope Harry finds something out about that book.

I woke up to a loud, ear-splitting sound, it was my alarm. I switched it off and jumped out of bed. I took a quick shower and put my uniform on, ready to go see Hermione. I made my way down the stairs of the tower and arrived in the common room.

Harry was asleep with his head on the table. I thought I should wake him up. I shook him. "Harry," I said. "Wake up."

"Charl, what's the time? I have to tell you something," Harry said.

"It's like six-thirty in the morning, you fell asleep at the table. What do you need to tell me?" I asked.

"So last night I decided to write something in the book, and it replied to me. The words just appeared on the page. It was Tom Riddle writing back. I asked him if he knew anything about The Chamber of Secrets, and I kind of fell into the book. Before I knew it, I was at Hogwarts fifty years ago, when the chamber was last opened. Long story short, the monster had killed a girl, and Tom caught the person who was opening the chamber," explained Harry.

"So, who was it?" I asked.

"Hagrid," Harry said.

"What!," I exclaimed.

"That's what I saw," Harry said.

"It can't be," I said, shaking my head.

"I'm gonna head to bed, say hi to Hermione for me," Harry said before heading upstairs.

I made my way to the hospital where Hermione was already putting on her uniform.

"Hermione!" I called, she ran over and gave me a hug.

"You look a lot better," I said.

"Let's get out of here," Hermione said.

As we headed back up to the common room, we bumped into Harry and Ron.

"Let's go outside," said Ron.

Harry filled Hermione and Ron in about what he found out the night before.

"We don't even know this Tom Riddle. He sounds like a dirty rotten snitch to me!" Snapped Ron.

"The monster had killed somebody, Ron! What would any of us have done?" Harry asked.

"Look, Hagrid's our friend. Why don't we just ask him about it?" I suggested.

"That would be a great visit!" Ron said sarcastically.

Neville came running towards us.

"Harry! I don't know who did it, but you'd better come!" Yelled Neville.

So we followed him, and we ran all the way up to the common room, then to the boys dormitory.

Harry's part of the room was completely trashed.

The pillow had been ripped and all the feathers were everywhere, the bedding was on the floor, and the draws had been pulled out with their contents strewn everywhere.

"It had to be a Gryffindor, no one else knows the password," said Hermione.

"Unless it wasn't a student," I added.

"Whoever it was, they must've been looking for something," Ron said.

"And they found it," Harry said. "Tom Riddle's Diary is gone."
