"I don't understand why McGonagall needs the broom," Ron complained, making it obvious that he wanted to have a go on it as the four of us sat in the common room, Harry and I on the couch and Ron and Hermione on the armchairs.

"I think Hermione was right for telling McGonagall," I said. "We don't know who sent it and it could very well be someone who is out to get Harry."

"But who would try and hurt Harry?" Ron asked.

"You're such an idiot sometimes Ron," Hermione said.

"Are you guys still fighting?" I asked.

"We will be until she apologises for her feral cat eating my rat," Ron said.

"Ron, to be fair, you don't know Crookshanks ate Scabbers," I pointed out.

"I don't know?" Said Ron, outraged. "You've seen the way that bloodthirsty beast looks at Scabbers. And he's not the type to run off either."

"Well, if you really think that Ron, I'm not talking to you," Hermione said.

Hermione walked off in a huff, followed by Ron.

"So when are we going to go and see Lupin?" I asked.

"Half an hour," Harry said. "Do you think Hermione and Ron will talk again?"

"Of course they will," I said. "It's just a fight. I'm sure they'll sort it out, they always do."

"You're right," said Harry, taking my hand in his. "But we can stop talking about them now. We've finally got some time alone."

Harry pulled me as close as possible to him and put his arm around me.

"I can't wait for the Quidditch final," Harry said.

"Me too, I hope we win. Especially for Oliver's sake," I said.

"It would be such a pity to never win a season, especially being on the team for so long, let alone bring captain," Harry said.

"Awful," I added with a nod.

"You know what else is awful?" Harry asked.

"What?" I asked.

"Being around you all the time and not being able to kiss you," Harry said.

"Well," I said. "What about now?"

"Now is perfect," Harry whispered, his face extremely close to mine.

We leaned in, but before our lips could touch, I heard someone call our names.

"Charlene! Harry!"

Of course, it was Colin.

"Oh, hey Colin," I said.

"What do you want this time?" Harry asked.

I elbowed him.

"I bought you guys something," Colin said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"So do you guys remember that day when you were like dancing on the cliff and I took a photo?" Colin asked.

I nodded.

"Well, I developed it. One for each of you. I used some magic photography equipment that I got for Christmas so it will move. Now you guys can always have this memory," Colin said, handing us each a photo.

It was Harry and I. The day he asked me to be his girlfriend. We were on the cliff and we were dancing, terribly I might add. It was moving, and by looking at our faces you could really tell how happy we were.

"Thank you, Colin," I said sweetly. "This is was so nice of you."

"Yeah, thanks Colin," Harry said, firmly patting Colin on the back, an action Colin would remember and treasure forever.

"You're welcome," Colin said. "I'll keep an eye out for you guys all the time and take some good candid pics."

Colin borderline stalked Harry, and this sentence was not good news for him. Harry opened his mouth slightly and I put my hand over his mouth to stop him saying something a bit mean.

"Thanks, Colin," I said, gesturing for him to leave.

"Bye, guys," said Colin.

When Colin was gone, Harry pulled me close again and tried to kiss me, but I stopped him.

"We have to go and see Lupin now," I said.

"Just one kiss?" Harry asked.

"Nup," I said. "I'm gonna make you wait."

"Fine," Harry said.

"Let's go," I said, getting up and holding out my hand for him to take.

We walked hand in hand to the classroom that Lupin had said to meet in.

"He's not here," Harry said. "Must be late."

"Not really a surprise," I said.

"So, how about that kiss now?" Harry asked.

"I'm gonna make you wait," I said. "Like I said."

"Really?" Harry asked. "I thought you loved me."

"I've been lying to you," I said.

Harry playfully tackled me and tickled me. "Kiss me."

"No," I said, laughing.

Harry knew tickling was my weakness.

Harry transitioned from tickling me to hugging me from behind and that's when Lupin came in.

"Well, two lovebirds we have here, huh?" Lupin joked.

Harry and I stopped and we stood, me in front of him, with his arms around my waist.

"So are you two ready to get started?" Lupin asked.

"Yes," I said, flattening out my robes.

"So, the spell that I am going to teach you both is very advanced, way above your level, still want to try?" Lupin asked.

"That's never stopped us before," Harry said.

"Yes, so I've heard," Lupin said. "Which is why I feel confident in teaching you two this."

Lupin took out his wand and indicated for us to take ours out too.

"So the spell I'm going to be teaching you today is called the Patronus charm, have you heard of it?" Lupin asked.

Harry and I shook our heads.

"The Patronus charm is a force that will make the dementor feed on it, and not the caster. Easy enough to understand, actually doing it is the hard part," Lupin said.

Harry and I nodded in unison.

"I want you to think of the happiest memory you can, a powerful memory. One that makes you feel elated. Then say the incantation Expecto Patronum, got that?" Lupin explained.

We nodded.

"Close your eyes, think about your life, choose a memory, make that all you think off, forget your surroundings, then speak the incantation. Then open your eyes and have your wands at the ready," Lupin said.

We spoke the incantation then opened our eyes, getting our wands out.

Lupin opened the chest containing the boggart.

Neither of us managed on the first try. I thought of the time when we all slept over at The Burrow, I was truly happy and I had real friends.

Then my second try rolled around.

Lupin let the boggart out, I let the memory fill me up and spoke "Expecto Patronum."

And there it was, I had done it. A beautiful shimmery white doe came out of white sparks in my wand.
