Gemini

  Gemini and Willow stashed the journals they found in the manor atop the mountain and left. There was nothing more they could do there. After searching for hours Gemini couldn’t find the person she was looking for, they’d somehow gotten turned around and eventually just gave up and headed back to the Valley District. Willow restored time no one but other Time Walkers knew of the time freeze thing, Willow simply pretended she had no idea who had done it since everyone was so mad about it.

  They took Swift back to the stables, Willow said nothing while Gemini took off Swift’s saddle. Gemini couldn’t help but comment about it. “You’re really quiet.” Gemini glanced over to her.

  “I guess.” She said simply with a shrug and didn’t make eye contact. Gemini frowned and watched her for a moment longer before resuming her work. Swift always seemed so grateful to have the saddle off tempting Gemini into learning how to ride bare back. She’d never gotten around to it though.

  Turning to Willow Gemini was completely thrown off guard when Willow kissed her.

Sage

  The lunch room was filled with kids during study hall. Looking around she still couldn’t find any sign of Britney, since Britney’s click usually shun Sage she dared not speak to them about Britney’s whereabouts. It wasn’t criminal to be absent from school. Finding her click proved harder, considering they were like the island of misfit toys they liked to hide. Checking the bathrooms and even calling for Gemini like a dog in the halls proved fruitless.

  It was about half way through Study hall when it occurred to Sage to check the library. Gemini and Willow seemed nervous and giddy at the same time as they sat together on the sofa in the reference section of the library. Sage sunk down in the chair across from them and sighed, “So…”

  “You’ll never believe what we found.” Willow blurts out. Sage sat up and looked at her friends, “A dead body?” Excitement bubbled up inside of her, she knew they didn’t find a dead body but it was the first thing that popped into her head.

  “No,” Gemini paused before adding, “though not as good,” Gemini said reminding Sage of exactly why she was drawn to Gemini in the first place. “We found this journal and it has all sorts of stuff in it including a picture of my brothers with the Mountain District alive and kicking. Also we think Britney is some kind of evil mastermind that’s going to destroy the Dream World by just being her selfish self.”

  “Yeah, we’re going back tonight to see if we can find anything else.” Willow added, “Can you come?”

  “I can try,” Sage response then adds, “Have you guys seen Brit?”

  “No,” Gemini shook her head and repositioned her sunglasses. Still self-cautious about her eyes as ever.

  “She never showed up.” Willow added.

  “I bet she’s in the Dream World right now plotting our deaths.” Sage spat. Gemini went a little white at that and Willow straightened up, suddenly alert. “Wait she’s going to try to kill us? Not for real right?” She asked basic panic skipping through her voice made Sage cringe.

  “Not our real deaths our Dream World deaths,” Gemini explained, “When someone dies in the Dream World…They aren’t allowed back. Game over.” She looked down and messed with the hem of her jacket’s sleeve.
