Hide your face,
and wipe your tears,
put on that smile,
you've done it for years.
Leave your problems at home,
or lock them away deep inside.
That turmoil can wait,
just a few more hours.
Your parents can't see it,
but you surely do.
You can never get away from it,
no matter how hard you try.
At night you cry those same old tears,
they keep falling, as you keep calling,
for help, for anyone.
But the help never comes,
so you keep putting on the smile,
and at night you wipe your tears,
but the help will never come.
