The Cycle

I believed you,

but I never should have.

You played my mind

just like a game.

Your laughter fills my ears,

as my eyes filled with tears.

My pain is your pleasure,

just as the knife is mine.

The cuts are so deep,

the scars will never heal.

You'll never know how much

you've hurt me.

I cannot show my fears,

you'll feed off of them.

Knowing you've hurt me,

will make you have more control.

I've become worthless,

as you tear me apart.

Brick by brick I build my wall,

you tear it down again.

As I try and try,

the trials are never ending.

The cycle is vicious,

we move in circles.

I try to break free,

but you pull me in again.

The cycle never ends,

neither will this pain.
