Play the game,
roll the dice.
Your bet is mine,
and the stakes are high.
Feeling by feeling
we are roped in.
Entangling ourselves
In no skin nor sheets but
in what we know is false.
Knowing that what we do
will break our hearts,
and tear us apart.
But we still bet high,
hoping to win the Ace.
All we got were dueces,
and now we're stuck
with our souls on the line
and our hearts in two,
we part ways
knowing it's what we must do.
With tears in our eyes,
and sorrow in our hearts
we tell each other that
we will never part.
It's all lies and we both know it,
even though neither one of us show it.
My soul was lost, and so was yours,
but it doesn't really matter anymore.
