Your Words

The fighting doesn't end.

The silence speaks louder,

than any words you could ever say.

You have made your point,

as I hang my head in shame,

your words are more pain than I can bear.

They slice into me;

deep, so deep they can never be pulled out.

Here they will stay, buried in my memory.

These scars will stay too,

embedded into my skin and brain.

But you'll never see them,

you never do;

you push me to the edge,

and watch me dangle.

A smile plays at your lips,

watching me suffer and squirm,

pleading for my life, or you wish.

Instead, I'm pleading for death,

it'd be so much easier.

Just to drop, it'd be so simple.

A slip of my hand could end it.

Just as you have ended me.
